@kalebparham I said that using a VGA box, which usually gives you the best possible picture quality with your Dreamcast, is not recommendable when it comes to 2D fighting games, since the games then look pixelated.

great list hope you done a saturn one. ill look in a min. the choices are well thought out and your commentary is articulate informative and helpful. of the kof games id opt for 2oo2 myself. unfortunately i have a lot of these on other consoles and not the dreamcast. i played cvs2 to tournament level and im looking forward to sf3 oe on xbla. thanks for the vids. i subscribed. apart from a few your one of the only people i know who played m.o.w. soul calibur was so important to me, over 2000 hrs

I also wanted to ask if you had tried using a PS1 or PS2 controller with any of these games? You can buy an adaptor which lets you use them with the Dreamcast, and I thought they might work much better with fighting games than the DC pad. Thanks.

@ChrisBrunner No, I haven't. I know the adaptor but I don't need it, because I play these games with the Agetec arcade stick.

Great stuff. These 2 videos really help to show the differences between all the DC 2D fighters. For a novice like me it's really helpful.

I've bought 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear X, Capcom Vs SNK 1 & 2, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Soul Calibur.

I'm going to try out your arcade stick mod when I get one too.

Well, I'd recommend getting them all (the Japanese versions are pretty cheap these days with a few exceptions). And yeah, Last Blade 2 is a blast to play, plus it's quite challenging!
