The 8G touch wasn't changed at all.

But I think that if Apple make a major design change to the iPhone next year they will probably update the iPod touch the same time so iPod touch fans don't have to wait 3 months to get the new iPod

But thats just a random prediction, im never really right anyway.

The Ipod Touch will always remain dumbed down on features compared to the Iphone.

Apple makes much more money from Iphone sales plus the monthly rake from the carriers. If the Touch had the features of the Iphone, that would hurt Iphone sales.

HandBrake is great free open source DVD ripper and encoding programme. Windows, Mac and Linux. It's what I used. Already has profiles for Itunes, Ipods and Iphones.

On Windows you'll also need DVD Decrypter to lose the DRM copy protection on the DVD before using HandBreak. On Mac or Linux install VideoLan Client VLC and HandBrake will use this to kill the DRM.

Google for HandBrake, DVD Decrypter and VLC, they're both free.

This event was full of What-The Fuckery. Apple apparently had technical difficulties with the iPod touch's camera, but seriously, JUST DELAY THE FUCKING THING! I dislike the glossy finish, and a camera in the nano is pointless, if not gratuitous. And the omission of a 16GB touch is a total rip off, at least make the slower nerfed iPod touch 16 gigs... Agh, at least I like iTunes.
