Electronic music generally uses real intruments and drum kits.

Trance and Hardstyle (my area) uses synthesized sounds > they use multiple waveforms and 'patches' to create a certain sound.

Trance music has a smooth/flowing bassline and, mostly, a low 'oommph' kick.

Hardstyle has smooth/harsh/no bass line

and a VERY dominant kick 'umzzerr'.

Further more Trance works around 140 BPM, where as hardstyle goes up to 180 BPM

anybody who thinks this techno music is repetitious is NOT A FAN! anybody as anybody should know that techno is almost always repititious but has a variety of loops, and noises and stuff mixed in with it. i first got into techno in i believe 1997! my favorite techno song ever is Higher State of Consciousness by Wink! There's just genius and lots goin on in that song
