Great video! Really nice to watch how you progress over the months...and how much Shane is growing! I liked the signal you use to redirect Shane further back on the leg..really helpful!
-on my aunt's youtube account forgot my pass!- Great video, I'll start using this as an example of why you don't need a prong collar to teach a dog to heel, working dog people = Simple sometimes :)
you sure can! I started training my first Dal (whom I got when she was 6 years old & she didnt even know "sit" or "down" and by 8 years old she had 2 obedience titles with many placements including firsts & seconds. With an older, larger dog, you just need to keep the food in your hand up higher.
What's the name of this song and where does it come from? I have a huge collection of Pumpkins material and you continue to amaze me with the rarities you have that I've never heard of.
no, they are not difficult, they are smart, energetic, and willing to please. If you are very interested in getting a Dal, I highly reccomend you contact the nearest Dalmatian club in your area and talk breeders. Please dont go to a pet store or backyard breeder! I wil be glad to direct you to the breed club nearest you!

Hey,
This is really great!
My dal has just turned 1 year old do you think I could train him like this?
Also, will this help when he is pulling whilst on his lead? :)

@PaperHearted
Thanks! this type of heeling is only for obedience tests/competitions, not what you would have a dog do while out on a casual walk.

Nice, unfortunatly not everyone can use free roam training on their dogs and require e-collars, prong, slips.
