Dick Cavett is one of the most boring individuals on the planet. Every segement I see from his show is total bore.

He manages to take interesting figures like Lennon, Joplin and MacLaine and turn their appearences into snooze fests.

Had I been old enough to vote in 1972, (I was only 3 years old then) I would have enthusiastically voted for George McGovern. The more I learn about him, the more he's becoming a real life hero to me.

By the way, seeing this clip produced a funny response from me in an embarrassed smile. I remember when I was a little boy in the 70's, I had a little bit of a crush on Dick Cavett. I must have picked up on his warm vibes, even back then.

Your honest candidate just signed FISA, a fascist piece of legislation if ever there was one. Not only did he say he would not support this law late last year, but he said he would fillibuster against it, meaning he would delay the bill as much as possible with debate. Now he's voted for cloture which stops all fillibustering. The exact opposite of what he said he would do. He's showing his true colors now that he has the nomination.

Thnks for this interview, a keeper for sure. Shirley has had a real depth of perception to share for a long time, hopefully, people keep listening.
