New York to Seattle - US Highway 20 Road Trip - Time Lapse

My Mini DV video camera records to 60 minute tapes and I used about four of these tapes in total. Then when we got back home I uploaded all the tapes on to my Mac and created the time lapse. Hope you have a good trip and look forward to your video.

I spend a great deal of time on Rt. 20 in Ohio. Did you make it through here? One day I will rent a huge RV and drive the entire length. Or just reach for another slice of pizza, one or the other.

It's just a shame that 'Little Tree' missed the beginning in New York.

He was joined in Chicago by a Zucchini loaf that resided on the dash.

They ran off into the night together once we got to Seattle though ...

Great video but i`m interested in how did you record this? What kind of a camera and how did you record this while driving besides mounted cam. Recording through camera to your laptop or a memory card in your camera? I`m going on a road trip in 10 days and i`d like to do something like this.

We used just a normal Mini DV video camera, on a small tripod and attached it to the top of the back seat. We recorded it all to tape and and then combined all the footage in iMovie when we got back to the UK. Good luck on your road trip and hope to see your video when you get back.

We had sun, rain, hail and snow.

Even witnessed a tornado in Thermopolis, Wyoming!

Yellowstone was just magical in the snow.
