Well no it is NOT easy to survive on 00A. Don't get me wrong, on most runs I do die. To get 1:56 you have to strafe about perfect with good lookdown angle also...but at the same time luck is involved in that you need boosts and need to avoid backboosts (getting hit in the back vs. in the front), but not too many boosts to die. This one prolly took about 6-8 hours total to get.
Could you explain to our viewers (me) what pausing at the wall just before Valentin accomplishes? I've never bothered to do it and I'm wondering if it's costing me a second or two.
In this level I use 1.2 control style, so when running I'm holding C-up AND C-right, aka strafing. Assuming you are already doing that, I might just assume that to the untrained eye it might just look faster cuz I'm looking down during the run compared to looking around bond. Also you don't lose speed on turns w/1.2 like you do w/1.1. Feel free to message me if you have other questions!

Lookdown reduces lag, which slightly slows down Bond. On this particular run it saves about 1.5-2 seconds.

Ha. Valentin sees you earlier running to this spot than he does when you just run right into his room. Prolly only saves about half a second though.

Yes, looking down reduces lag. On streets SA and 00A this saves about 2 - 2.5 seconds. Kinda dumb but it works, haha
