But what happened was kane tried avoiding the hit at the last second, and it ended up being a knee on knee (not intentionally) so Brouwer went after Stralman thinking that he might have injured kane. It happens all the time though, if anyone sees an opponent targeting or hitting their star player really hard, they go after them. @TheBettsman It's knee on knee. That's dirty. I remember this hit had a lot of controversy around it because of the recent Laraque hit on Kronwall. It was Knee on knee and probably should have resulted in a suspension. It has nothing to do with having your head down. He knew he was there that's why Kane started turning but the guy stuck his knee out and caught him

if it was just a normal check on kane then no one would have went after him. But what happened was kane tried avoiding the hit at the last second, and it ended up being a knee on knee (not intentionally) so Brouwer went after Stralman thinking that he might have injured kane. It happens all the time though, if anyone sees an opponent targeting or hitting their star player really hard, they go after them. I wouldn't say Stralman was asking for it; but hey that's the price you gotta pay...

cause he plays hockey , he simply delivered a clean hit on a player who's driving the puck which is usually something you do in Ice Hockey...
It's not his fault if nowadays people get cocky for every single clean hit and start fighting for nothing. fighting a guy who's giving your teammate a cheap shot , or a dirty hit, fine , but you gotta stop fighting everytime a clean hit is delivered otherwise hockey can't be played and will end up in massive brawls all the time

@ooder1 you gotta stick up for your team though. people seem to think that you should retaliate like this on a dirty hit but no, clean or dirty you cant let players like kane or toews get knocked around. you gotta let the other team know that you wont stand for it and fight or retaliate with a big hit. that way next time they have the chance to hit players like kane they will think twice.
