People seem to like thinking of Pinkie and "Pinkamena" as two different ponies (or personalities) so using Pinkamena for Cupcakes makes it easier to disconnect the story from the real Pinkie Pie. However, I prefer it with the real Pinkie because of that same reason. It's WAY creepier to think of Pinkie happily, bubbily, cutting up her friend deliberately than it is to think of Pinkamena cutting her up during a bout of crasyness
