I'm currently making one that will hold 5 disks and its pretty sweet. I didn't like the cardboard top because of durability reasons so I'm making a rear slot drop in for it. the only problem I'm having is the my first two darts keep flipping over... i need to figure something out to fix that.

The mod effectively makes the proton into a better vigalon, but I still prefer the vigalon to this.....mostly because its a lot cleaner and because the internal mag is just WAY tooo fun.

an advantage is that the proton can take a better spring reclocking, so yea....it can get a little better range vs the vigalon.

I love the ricosahy shots...best indoor stock gun for DAMN sure.

That's a very brilliant and resourceful mod, but I think you should revise it more, before you use it. You should extend the pipe, so that it holds more than 4 discs, because if you are only going to put 4 discs in there, when it comes with 3, then you might as well just keep an extra one in your pocked, to save on work. You should also put some sort of material over it, to make it look nicer, and paint the mod and the gun the same color. That would look cooler.

Hey, Drac, I've come up with a name for my Vigilon. I'm a gamer, and I always loved the original Unreal, so I'm calling it the Razorjack, because of the fact that the discs ricochet.

Unfortunately, guns like the proton, and it's big brother, would have been PERFECT for barrel mount magazine, similar to a pump action shotgun. If i understand the mechanics correctly you would have to mount the tube above the discharge barrel, but you could load them in sets of twos, potentially getting as many as 4- 6 shots on the proton, and 6-8 on the vigilon.. it just doesnt seem to have occurred to nerf.

I like that the disks don't melt from spraypaint. I do mine in metalic nickle.

Ive got a Nitron and a praxis, I'm in Australia. Nitron: 59AUD Praxis: 30AUD Proton: 12AUD Viligon: 16AUD @ Big W. Praxis peforms best whilst the Nitron is pratical since it peforms slightly worse but it is fully automatic.

That is a really cool mod, It is especially nice because the stock blaster was barely modified at all. I would probably use sheet plastic instead of cardboard everywhere though.
