  • I like this !

  • I'm a massive fan of this album. You win.

  • nice!

  • great song choice from a 19 year old drummer sounds like the slide whooped your butt but you still killed it man cause it is Victor friggin bailey

  • blew my brains out!

    awesome!

  • I can play the first lick, but man at 1:48 - salute to thee - now that is difficult. You're master, just try to figure out the right notes at the end of the first line (lick) - 0:32, I think there are some notes not as Vic plays.

  • muy bien broder!!!

Si vivieras en argentina podriamos hacer una banda ya que yo lo toco desde hace mucho en la bateria!!

    Abarxos!

  • Yo, besides the fact that you played it extremely well, your bass sounds AMAZING! That's what a Fender should sound like.

  • thanks a lot for you kind words !!!

When i watch this vid again, i'm disappointed in the result but you're right, the bass sound is not that bad... at least a positive point! haha :)

    Thanks again !

    Regards,

    - Alex.

  • niccccceee!

  • You played it so good man!! COngratulations, this is a tough one!! AMAZING

  • Cool man! great job! I think you can find a way to play the bridge without having to do the constant sliding up and down the fret board though...

  • congratulations...great job !

  • U r the man! A great performance of a bitchin tune. You even got the "faux fretless" slides at 1:50. Very impressive... from a true Bailey fan!

  • Thanks a lot man!!! I've never been convinced on my cover of these "faux fretless" slides but if you were... that's really cool :-)

    Thanks again!

  • very nice man, good tone for the song

  • If this is done "by ear" , you my friend are awesome. Keep going!!

  • It doesn't matter how you learn a song; if the song then it will be hard no matter what.

  • I thought transcription by ear was the only way you could do it......... Like you'd trust a "tab", most of them don't even get the chords right let alone the notes.

Transcription is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, just need a lil scale knowledge and a good tape-machine.

    Good transcription all the same!

  • lol turns out I've said that before here!

  • not bad at all.

    Keep on playing.

  • you got tabs for this one ? i'd like to have 'em if you do

  • tabs 4 jazz? I don't think that's too common... good luck transcribing

  • well, vic got tabs from some of his songs at his instruction book, so it wouldn't be surprise if theres a tab for this one, but actually i meant that does Alex156 got tabs for this that he could send or something..

  • That's just to get the kids up off their tab asses and into the real world.

Tab is the WORST way to learn a song.

  • lol tabs

Tab is wrong 99% of the time.

    Why?

Because people who write tab are usually pretty poor transcribists.

    Get the CD.

    Open your ears.

Clear a few hours from your day.

  • nice!

  • With the exception of the slides, great job!

  • Nice sound.Good job!

  • Great technique, but I am sure that's not quite a transcription.

  • Thanks!

As written in my profile, i work almost all my covers only by ear, so you're right about the transcription, some notes may be wrong. Also, th e slides part is really hard to cover , i need more work on it...

  • Salut Alex! dis donc tu touches à mort. C'est top. Il faudrait que l'on jam un jour toi, moi et un batteur.

    A plus bonne continuation

    Hugues
