Early sixties yes, but I believe Green Bay was the end of the line by the end of the decade. I remember that in Cub scouts (circa 1960) we drove from Marinette across the bridge then got on the train to ride to Marinette and on to Peshtigo. I believe it cost $0.25.
My hometown too. Looks like late 60's. The first shots are of the North end of 1st Street...The large elms you see in these shots were all lost to Dutch elm disease. They used to line much of 1st St...Also seen is the Menominee Brewing Co. at 1st St. and 14th Ave., before & after the fire (1967?)...The old Menekaunee Bridge (at one time was the oldest operating swing bridge of its type in the U.S.)... The Hotel Marinette & Goodfellows (at the corner of Hall Ave & Riverside in Marinette).
@madlymelon, You believe what "THEY" told us that it was Dutch Elm Disease that killed the trees, when "THEY' were making Agent Orange arcross the river

Goodfellows!! I remember drinking cherry cokes with me friends at Goodfellows. They had a great soda fountain.

Oh, those cherry cokes...
when he'd pour the cherry into the iced coke, we could hardly wait for the glass to
be placed in front of us and take the first sip. (which hopefully was pure cherry).
Great pictures with outstanding quality.
Grand old memories. Thanks. Wish there were more. Marinette was my home ('50's to '61), but I always seemed to fall in love with the Menominee girls.
