  • I am raised a catholic. Go to church but he puts a twist into this. A way of thinking that's like Buddhism. Yet... Jesus involved. I can't explain with words. But simply put this changed my life. His books and talks.

  • The thing that I don't understand is how can a selfless thing become a selfish thing if there is no feeling involved; not expecting something in return?

  • He said almost exactly the same words, like david de angelo in his mastery program chapter two about the dark side.

  • hahaha, so happy. its so beautiful and so teaching. Im in the both with Satori's sentiments. 5 starrs, lifetime friend and subscriber lol. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Love.

  • His wisdom is to keep religious jargon out of it

  • I think Tony has been heavily influenced by a number of spiritual perspectives, although the concept of to be awake is definitely of Eastern origin (Hinduism) or more than likely of Buddhist teachings. Buddhism basically endorses the belief that we suffer because of the Human condition, and that through our basic pathology and psychology, our ideals and thoughts determine our entire conceptualization of the world.

  • Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म kárma (help·info), kárman- "act, action, performance" The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala

are we ever rewarded for being selfish?

  • Thank you for posting!

  • i think it's about how one perceives self interest. if one sees self interest in terms of generations to come, the universe as a whole, then love is one's self interest.

    we are all God's children

  • Great video:) I five starred it and am your lifetime friend and subsciber.

    be happy NOW

  • This is the first time I've heard de Mello get stumped. But then he recovered perfectly with the "unconscious" selflessness.

It could also be argued that Jesus was not selfish in his good works because he was supposedly God's son, so he had nothing to gain for it.
