i've been in several near misses when driving the trucks when i was on a dept so i started saying on the radio that i was approaching the intersection after that no more near misses also helped that i slowed down and blasted my air horn and had the Q screaming
No one was seriously hurt...both trucks from the same station Squirt 43 and Ladder 9...$1million dollars worth of equipment same company...quiet times at the dinner table in the sta....
they were responding to a wotking fire... the ladder was respong from the station and the engine was responding from another fireground, if i remember correctly the enging had a green light...... both co's are stationed together... thank God no one was killed or had career ending injuries....
The Truck and Squirt were enroute to a residential fire. This should be a lesson to ALL Engineers/Drivers: Clear intersections before proceeding through red lights and stop signs. Fortunately none of the FF's were seriously injured. One Engineer did have to be extricated.
There was actually a failblog video featuring two fire engines crashing and it was pretty violent. Apparently that passes for humor while this does not. Go figure!
if this is the same accident it they were heading to a two story home. It was not a false alarm i belive the report said they had a room and contants fire
they were not going to fast. they were enrout and had an accidnet. ive seen cop cars do the same. It was bad timing or they turned before they could see. or it was a blind intersection, you dont knownor do i im stating possibilites.

It's a good thing they weren't heading to a fire, that would have caused a possibly deadly delay!
