no! I own all the mics, I am a recording engineer, the guy in this vid is a friend of mine who at the time just sold off all of his guitar equipment to buy something he wanted all his life. He brought a kit that he wanted and with the sale of his stuff, he could afford it aswell.
He does need to work on his technique, but this video is pretty old, he has been playing for more than 2 months now! Little too quick to judge on people I think, get your facts straight before dropping sloppy comments like this on peoples profiles.

yeah, you'll be surprised at how good stock heads can sound when tuned by a good drummer. Theres two videos of "The Wedding" playing on the logan show (on youtube) and the drummer is using a DW kit with what looks like stock heads. Of course it's DW though.
dude i was thinking about getting that kit and you def proved to me that is sounds sick as hell

DW stock heads are extremely dampened and come on, its a DW :D. The stock heads on this kit are just real cheap heads.
