  • For anyone wtahcing this please dont follow this dum shit head. this video should both be removed from you tube and or be forwarded to the CSX coperate in Flordia or ur local CSX yard official. Jacksonville florida. This is about as dumb ass as anyone can get and we all will suffer becuse og this video while rail fanning. Take a monet to forward this to the CSX POLICE

  • PLEASE dont tell me you are yet another fuck face who stands right next to the tracks so the rest of us get into trouble becuse you want to show off how dumb ass red neck u r. What were u drinking? it is morons like you that get all of us into trouble with the RR police and crews. this video should be forward to the CSX police and or coperate. If you got hurt the crew would have had all sorts of issues you dumb ass.

  • Crazyyyyyyyy sound's like you were in a hurricane with all that wind

  • I lived right next to this set of tracks while working for Georgia Pacific corporation in the early nineties. Let me tell you the trains on this section of track fly. Quite a few amtrak trains use this track going to Atlanta. The house i was staying in was about 200 ft from the tracks. I hated it at the time but i would love to live there now just to watch the trains. There are alot of unguarded crossings in this area of Georgia. You have to make damn sure you stop cause these trains are moving.

  • All you need is a stray length of chain, strap or tie down to cut off a limb or you in half. Also, thats not 80mph. Most CSX trains wont cross 70mph

  • the locomotive top speed is 74...

  • That was friggin awesome. That came on so fast. Thanks for sticking it out, I would have too!

  • Is this the old "A" line?

  • You couldn't get any closer to the track?

  • That's a good way to get kill..

  • way tooo close, what if a shoe had come off or a piece of rock, or it derailed, not to be a party pooper but think of the crews who you just scared the shit out of

  • My dad worked the EJ&E in the 40's/50's, he told me that to stand beyond the crossbucks like you were doing is dangerous. He saw way to many brake shoes go though trackside buildings, anything lose on the train could ruin your day~~~forever... I put my camera about two foot further away, the tripod can be set with the legs straight out, never fall over. No way way would I give this a thumbs up!

  • nice videos but way to close

  • How did you guys get that speed? Did you use a Radar gun? Or did you use a hotbox detector?

  • Hard to believe that he was going 80mph, because most modern locomotives r limited to a top speed of 74mph. If they were DDA40X's or SD40-2SS's or Passenger locos i would agree but not newer locos

  • @trainmanjosair I understand but I had the same thing happen with X176 empty well cars up here on the North end sub in central Va. Clocked min at 79 MPH. 2 AC6000's and 1 ES40DC. I can't find an explanation.

  • @trainmanjosair uhhh, this is def. 80. SD40's are 83, but i do think they can go about 70, for obvious power reasons. amtrak units can go 110, and these can go, ehh, 90 ish.

  • Probably not a good idea dude but good video!

  • i can't see a thing except you scaring the heck out of the crew, please don't do that, plus you could ruin it for all of us, please consider the crews, thanks

  • holy shit that train was rollin sweet catch is this in georgia

  • Wowowowowow ... what a great threal !!!! Love your video ... thank's for sharing !!

  • casi casi te jala...almost you get kill yourself...Jesus!!

  • My God! How fast is this train? Very fast, awesome!

  • You sir, just got your balls!! Ha! :]

  • @BTCRAIL101FILMS he would if he got under it.

  • @BTCRAIL101FILMS haha thanks

  • thats too close for that camera--I would use a 50mm lens and zoom in a little but be on the other side of the gates or at a safe distance. Guess i got older but safety is more important and keeping my cameras and tripod.

  • At 80mph when all that iron flies off the track, standing that close it will surely be your Waterloo. great Vid, Sid !! *LIKE*

  • They'll be praised for it , and this wasn't the Santa FE Super C which ran at between 79 mph and 90 from 1967-1975 but this train sure came darned close the IC ran their freight trains at least 60 if not 70 great video I never will get tired of it

  • Wouldn't mind telling the CSXT brass in Jacksonville to uh raise the intermodal train speed from 70 to 83 mph on this subdivision because the video of the train sourly didn't derail those train engineers won't get fired

  • nice

  • yep 301 follows the a-line all the way too florida

  • Mostly all of the Seaboard System/Louisville and Nashville and Seaboard Airline and Old RF&P hotbox and dragging equipment defect detectors give the train speed

  • So I've posted a few "close up" vids where I put my camera very close to the tracks and get the hell away (far away) from the tracks. I EXPLICITLY say I'm standing a very safe distance away and I STILL get people bitching me out. Not even politely suggesting I should "get back a little", but "youre the reason why railroads hate railfans" stuff. Then you do this, get 3 pages of comments and not one pointing it out. I'm not complaining myself; I just find it interesting. O yea, awesome vid :)

  • @bigtex144 thnks man

  • @bigtex144 if it helps, I saw about 5 or 6 hobbos sitting in a circle about 2 feet from the tracks (with trees around in front of the road and a little 6 track yard behind with trees behind that) while we were going 50 and they didn't move or nothing, like it was normal

  • yaaa it wuz

  • Dang, thats fast.

  • Dude, that train was close to you it had me nervous!

  • @savagezone yaaaa i wuz alrite :)

  • @Keast1111 definitly although i wouldnt try haha

  • nice

  • @whatthefuck9000 thnks

  • Yep...US 301 comes thru rocky mount and parallels to these exact same tracks that come thru rocky mount as well

  • @NSFrankfort because i wanted to be

  • @ pele6922 it depends on the number of engines, how fast the trains going and the tonnage...even though this train was doing top speed he could stop fairly short bc most of his cars were empty...if I had to guess I would say a mile to mile and a half...again tonnage is the biggest factor

  • How long to come to a complete stop at this speed?

  • Awesome! Finally, a video of 70 mph +

    Nice catch!

  • nice video

  • I suppose that would make sense. I was in folkston two days ago on my way to FL and was amazed by how much traffic goes through there. I saw the track layout and how Intermodels could go 70 in places, but i'm really surprised they can go 80...i didn't even think the maximum speed on those engines was 80, just 75 or something around that. Also thought it was funny how some trains ignored the city ordinance of 50mph...some trains definitely ignored that!

  • the official posted speed limit is 55 mph for freights 70 for intermodals and 79 for amtraks...but this is csx's highest priority train (i think) and the track is in incredible condition and its in the middle of nowhere soooo...and besides he wuz mostly empty except for a few containers

  • What is the real speed limit through there? How did he get away with going that fast?

  • Yaaaa he wuz...officially

  • thats what i call hauling ass

  • yaaa this is a lot faster than the posted limit

  • One time, this CN freight came by us and rumbled the train depot by us at 50-60 MPH.

  • wowowowowow that wuz FAST!!

  • I wanted somthin different n lemme tell ya I've never been so close 2 one goin that fast

  • dude y so close
