This is from a fabulous limited-run television series on the sundance channel. An amazing series about the largest chinese restaurant in the world. The owner is a wonderful self-made single mother.

I watched the first part tonite. Very facsinating~ but had a hard time with some of the scenes in which they kill the animals. The chef competition really got to me. But would still love to go there some day and taste some of their yummy looking food. sans the snake......

True Chinese cooking is very different from American Chinese, that's for sure.....
