  • Is this PBS TV, as in the Dallas/Fort Worth based tv station?

  • So friggin bad ass to this day...

    I just saw T.S.O. 11-14-2011...

    Wore a SAVATAGE T-Shirt....

Probably the only one out of the 6500 people who even knew who "The Tage" was....and got a smile and a wave from Johnny Lee Middleton...so awesome!

  • hey thanks for the post classic metal

  • some of the best...

  • never gets old

  • SAW EM' WITH DIO AND MEGADETH IN EARLY 87' IN DALLAS REUNION------MANY BONG HITS AGO-----BOUGHT A HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING SHIRT-----MIA IN 93----COOL SHIRT TOO!

  • When Criss died Savatage were over for me. They reached their peak with Caffrey. 2 Guitars make these songs killer. When he solos its too hollow - though he is powerful

  • Chris playing in 00:55 is jaw breaking!

  • Chriss remember you.............. missing forever

  • Great post! RIP Cris Oliva.

  • Classic bad ass Savatage footage! Thanks for posting this man! I'd love to see and have this entire show. Listen to how ahead of their time Savatage was in '86! Heavy, thunderous, mystical and tight with the time changes. So underrated. Criss wailed the f*ck out of that guitar and matched his brothers vocals so killer man. Thanks again for posting this footage. Way cool stuff to see!

  • Caralho, como é bom ver isso.

Jon Oliva novinho, a banda tinha um feeling imenso.

  • Savatage is one of my two favorite bands ever. They were the only band I could make sound good in my first car without blowing the speakers.

I know a band that covered this song... It's funny how the sirens' song still freaks people out when they hear it for the first time. Oooh woah ohhh.. Woah ohh...

  • well maybe it is possibly some Cable access TV, not PBS. but that is what is was listed as when I got it around 20 years ago, there is also Avatar footage of them playing outside , or very early savatage that is killer...

  • I seen Avatar in 79 at a rollerrink..lol

  • For a live-version, this was incredibly good ! The sound-quality is as good as the album-version and the vocals are BETTER live than on the lp !!!!

So, how did this wind-up on PBS ??? I guess it was a documentary on Rock/Metal music, I'm not sure, I was only 6 years old at the time !

  • Miss ya Criss.

    SIRENS!!!!!!!!!!!!
