First of all congrats. You can tell there are some really good things going on at this school at 7:14-7:17 the quality/sonority of the chord there is fantastic. And if I were a music judge, it would have been enough for me to hear the on field warm-up. That was beautiful.
And the guard was amazing as well. A very well put together show.

I really do not see how L.D. Bell got 2nd at state. I am from Plano East and we had to compete against Marcus and L.D. Bell at area. From the vantage point we were at, L.D. Bell's execution was much better than Marcus, as well as playing, and that opinion is only further justified by comparing this video to Marcus'. Both of them are great bands, I, however, just think that L.D. Bell is slighty better. This show makes me envy you all :P
i think at state they tore in one of their pieces. and also marcus played and marched more often than ld bell did. at uil, they don't give a crap about general effect. they only care about straight lines and good music.
Well, I hate to spoil it for you, but I just came back from the last Bell rehearsal before they leave for Nationals and they have completely changed the ending after that last big note. I wouldn't call that the primary reason Bell lost. (Trying to be neutral, I'm in the band). We got a 10th in music, and the reasoning was that the judge didn't like the selection in part 3/4 transition (5:06). As far as drill goes, I'll admit that there are some rough patches but overall its pretty clean.

I completely understand. I'm in the duncanville band and our music scores were 4th 1st and 10th. And that 10 murdered us. i thought yalls 10 and ours were both pretty ridiculous We all thought that yall deserved 1st, but these contests are so political/subjective its insane.
idk about yall but if the judge that gave us 10th had given us 6th we would've placed 3rd and if he had given us 4th we would've placed 2nd. So we pretty much felt like shit.

i'm quite upset i won't see them in person(we're not going to indy this year) but still, absolutely incredible, unbelieveably incredible. they are not going to have a problem defending their title one bit.
OK see kudos to marcus for winning state and i dont mean to disrespect, but wow that state finals competition was jipped. marcus was indeed awesome and thier show was on the highest quality, but wtf were the judges thinking!!! 2 days b4 they tied marcus in music(when 2 of thier soloists sqwaked a note) and won in ge and visual. i mean wow really?? why would a judge put them 10 in music(1best-10 worst) and 5 in marching. Im srry if this offends anyone but in reality bell should have won state.
It's actually been outed that the judge that gave Bell 10th place in music actually applied for the Assistant Director position a few years ago. Which is highly suspicious to say the least. Apparently the UIL judging system this year is even more messed up flawed this year.
Im gonna go see this show for the first time tommorow at Bell vs. Trinity and by the looks better than last years good luck at Nationals. oh yea Great Job on Saturday and Tuesday

i think its because marcus has better execution and better marching technique. i remember seeing LD Bell from the side and there were a few individual mistakes which probably messed them up at State.
Really like the show.m I love ld bell shows, and love the guard especially. Lafayette high is going to grand nationals, see u there. We got third place in the Atlanta Super regional. Didnt win it like ld bell won sanantonio. lol but cant wait to see the show in person!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I think you're getting confused. 2 years ago was the sheet and that was only for the last 45 seconds. Last year they had circa 2 minutes under the bubbly things.

L.D. Bell shows always have this creepy feel to them, but I must say that my band found it pretty funny how this show led them to the wrong exit... and the visuals, just strange. nice show, but it took me quite some time to figure out that the band was imitating a tribe.

OK see kudos to marcus for winning state and i dont mean to disrespect, but wow that state finals competition was jipped. marcus was indeed awesome and thier show was on the highest quality, but wtf were the judges thinking!!! 2 days b4 they tied marcus in music(when 2 of thier soloists sqwaked a note) and won in ge and visual. i mean wow really?? why would a judge put them 10 in music(1best-10 worst) and 5 in marching. Im srry if this offends anyone but in reality bell should have won state.

It's actually been outed that the judge that gave Bell 10th place in music actually applied for the Assistant Director position a few years ago. Which is highly suspicious to say the least. Apparently the UIL judging system this year is even more messed up flawed this year.

Im gonna go see this show for the first time tommorow at Bell vs. Trinity and by the looks better than last years good luck at Nationals. oh yea Great Job on Saturday and Tuesday

so i think Marcus is great....but HOW HOW HOW did this not beat them at state!? Marcus' show is pretty juvenile in comparison to this....

because the show is based on opinions of the few judges that decide your rank
personally,i believe that the only school that can beat l.d. bell is marcus high school
least thats how its been for the years ive been in marching band.i havent seen any of their shows for 2008 (which is why im watching this video right now :P)

i think its because marcus has better execution and better marching technique. i remember seeing LD Bell from the side and there were a few individual mistakes which probably messed them up at State.

Really like the show.m I love ld bell shows, and love the guard especially. Lafayette high is going to grand nationals, see u there. We got third place in the Atlanta Super regional. Didnt win it like ld bell won sanantonio. lol but cant wait to see the show in person!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

6:30 is around my favorite part of this show. LD Bell is an absolutely incredible program I have so much respect for them

i think this was the best show to do this year for LD bell. last year, there wasn't a lot of movement, and this year there is! i mean, i feel sorry for the poor color guard. lol. but great job again LD bell!

I think you're getting confused. 2 years ago was the sheet and that was only for the last 45 seconds. Last year they had circa 2 minutes under the bubbly things.

We didn't go to the wrong exit. That was so that we got out of the next band's way while we walked off the field.

L.D. Bell shows always have this creepy feel to them, but I must say that my band found it pretty funny how this show led them to the wrong exit... and the visuals, just strange. nice show, but it took me quite some time to figure out that the band was imitating a tribe.
