Yes, but the main goal of boxing is to use your hands to take your opponent out. I've seen plenty of boxing greats. My personal favorite was Tyson because of his overwhelming style. And while boxing has its individual styles within, It still doesn't have submissions, knees, elbows or take downs just to name a few, No style is perfect that's for sure. But I believe a straight up boxer is at a disadvantage when going against some of the other fighting techniques.

you dont learn boxing in almost every art. you practise it at a novice level. it takes years and many fights to learn how to box propperly. many world champions started off with no natural talent in the sport, but they worked hard for many years to get to world level. all fighters, all true fighters respect every art of hand to hand combat. to tell a fighter that his chosen art sucks is very disrespectful, and true fighters know how much dedication and hard work goes into being a pro fighter.
