I love this movie and the song because I can relate and I know how he feels since Im a Struggling Writer myself Its not easy to get people's attention maybe after my death ill get notice sad but true thats how the world works Ignore the living and worship the dead...
@Davinderanu mar jaie to barh jati hai insan ki kimat, zinda rahe to jene ki saza deti hai dunia.
same thing happen to my favorite writter, Sadat Hassan Manto, man died in poverty and today we call him writer of the century and his books get translated into 64 languages.but please, don't lose hope and look at those who made a name for themselves in their life, Sahir Ludhanvi, Kavi Pradeep etc, they were legends in their lives. best of luck, would feel lucky if I can read your writings.
Best is a very small word for this song. this is supper ,excellent ,truth of life expressed in limited words ,but it is uncompleted ,no one can let in words about this song.
i m sorry but this song doesnot deserve dislikes pls frends stay away if u dont like. n i think piyush mishra created history again in gulaal. love the words n voice in this song
This song is too great for comments. There are no words, no language and no other communication medium which can properly express the magnitude of its greatness.
Denounce 'them' and become a monk(stop living). And they will call u a saint.
Conquer fear and stand up for youself, live with dignity and respect, remain calm and confident amongst 'them' and u will win.World is with the courageous
Gurudutt is great.Agar jinda hote to kisike majal thi ki koi inki jaise films bana pata.agar ye jinda hote to yash chopra, vidhu chopara, raju hirwani ,sanjay leela bansali ki chutti kar dete.
@123sanjaydesai Sure never bored - I m gr8 fan of this moovie i shaw this moovie more than 500 time and this song is heart touching, if u feel words of song TEARS automatic comes from eyes. No one can composed/picturise/lyrics act/ in future this is the mile stone.
Guru Dutt always left behind treasures that linger on and on. His 50 years old depicts the the ills and evils of our society as if the thing of the present. Truly a legend
Sahir's awesome poetry set to score by S D Burman and brought to life by the soulful rendering by maestro Rafi. I wish a return to that era of meaningful lyrics and soulful singing.
This one poem alone is sufficient to keep the name of rebel poet Sahir Ludhianvi's name shinning in the annals of Urdu/Hindi (lets call it Hindustani) literature. May his soul rest in peace. I dont mean to discredit the singer but look at the theme of the song. It is the theme that has lent pathos to this ever lasting song. And undoubtedly Guru Dutt has done a great job of rendering this literary masterpiece in a very touching manner. May his soul rest in peace.
This world that is against humanity, this world of treachry and lies...this wealth hungry world...this world of rituals....what difference it makes even if this false world stands against me...
every heart here is wounded and every one is thirsty...their ways are confused and hearts are heavy....this world is world of dead not lively...here death is far cheaper than life...
Here youth passes like a spark of light....young bodies get ready like shops in a bazaar and love is traded like business...
what will happen even if this false world stands against me....
This world where a man has no value...where trust and friendship have no value....where love itself has no place....where hate rules....what if even this false world stands against me..."
This movie is about a poet who is betrayed in love and friendship....
qasam khuda ki... saahir sahab ne zehan jhinjhhod k rakh diya..!!!! rafi sahab ne dil cheer diya to Guru dutt sahab is sach ko bakhoobi manzar e aam par le aaye..!!!! may God bless them all
this is the world we live in....we just shrink our world and live in that small world happily.....but the truth is very bitter and harsh...nothing is rosy and loving.....at the end of all...we are part of all dis mess....and we cant escape it.....yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaye to kya....yeh duniya agar bhi mil jaye to kya.....
A great song sung in a great language! But who can really understand the meaning of this song now? Not in today's Bollywood. Not in todays world of Khan Actors. These songs will never be composed again.
is dukh mein rehne se bhi to koi fayda nahi ki aise gaane ab nahi banenge....kal kisne dekha hai?? aaj mein aise gaane nahi bante to in gaano ko sun kar khush ho lenge...kya kehte ho?
this is one of the greatest lyrics of all time and what a song rendered!
this is a cry from a poet who says that the worldy success -which he got-is not worth all the sacrifice of principles and honesty-a taunt on the hollow captailists thieving system
n the 40s my ancestral family was torn into half between india and pakistan.Let us just dissolve the differences in our minds, and the countries will come together again as friends. We must analyse who stands to gain if we remain enemies, and who stands to gain if we become friends again.
There is no comparison of our Hindustani music of the 40's, 50's, 60's and the 70's. Amazingly, all the players were from the pre partition period. Agar yeh mulk ka batwaara nahiin hotha yeh sab log bombai nahiin aathe aur yeh film industry would have never reached its zenith. The present Bollywood is an utter disgrace. It's all about money, money, and more money. Aap sab loge sukhii rahiyeh and lets cherish the YouTube ke puraane geeth and video's..

In this movie he has nothign to with film.
