Hey! Is this like the first Wizardry IV vid on Youtube *ever*? I thought the fans would really like to put more of Werdna and his army out there to see.
No fantranslation, but while the spell descriptions and such remain Japanese (which is fine, it's still perfectly playable) most of the text is in English should you so choose. The same goes for the other remakes on the disc, which I think include Wizardry I, II, and III.
I am tempted to do a Wizardry IV LP, but it'd probably be the wireframe DOS version - when recording video for this title on the PSX, it seems to lag badly enough that the game becomes harder. Still, it's a possibility.
Mechanically, there is virtually no difference between this one and the DOS version. They're both quite hard, and all five endings (plus this mildly humorous "ending," where you lose to Lord Hawkwind without the proper monster) are in this one as well. This is a Japanese re-release of the game for several platforms (PS and PC), though there is an English language option like in the SNES re-releases of Wizardry I, II & III.
Nah. Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom is a more archetypical Wizardry title, while this one casts you as the villain of the original Wizardry, Werdna.
The soundtrack of this game sounds awesome. I wish it had been released on a CD. :<

Figured it's the least I could do, since there's pretty much everything from the Llylgamyn and Dark Savant sagas and Wiz 5, but nothing from here. :)

Maybe not the very first, but I noticed there weren't many at all. Hm... maybe I should Let's Play the game?

@shinreiyhvh I would absolutely love to see a Wizardry IV LP.
Was this version of the game ever totally fan-translated like SNES I-III? I note that there still seems to be some Japanese in this.

I'm only familiar with the DOS version. What are you running this on, and how is this version different from the (absurdly hard) DOS version?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this Wizardry 5?
