I loved the skirt work. It was a really powerful fusion. ATS has a lot of flamenco influence (the hand floreos, lifted posture and arms) but it has a different flavor than your particular fusion, which is interesting.

This music is Moroccian, I love it, but not for performance belly dance. I have this and a lot by this artist on a Tunisian Tourist CD unfourtunatly it does not give the name of The Artist, as I would love to buy more from this artist Any one know who is singing.

7vails, nope this is song is egyptian not morrocon it is called dobt doob by the egyptian ehab tawfiq. Here is the link for the video clip watch?v=nKpWkgweipg. i think the "ya ghareb" title is picked up from a cd by a dance group called Mezdeke that takes arabic songs and change the names of the songs to avoid paying the copy rights. However, if u have a proof that convinces me that the tune is a remake of an old morrocon one, then pls enlighten me.

I make it perfectly clair that I do not know the name of the song or Artist!! my Judgement was made on the fact it was on a Tunisian Tourist CD, & at The beging of the song the artist said " Welcome to Morocco" & in fact ask for the name of the artist! so next time you are looking 4 an arguement please look no further than your own Mirror!

Incedentaly. (luxul)It was NOT on a Mezdeke DVD as I do not rate this Dance troup they produce it in Turkey & Turkey & most of the mid East do not use copyright. ( I have a App in Turkey & was in the M.East for 23 years!)IT was on a cd called "Welcome to Tunis" at least I know the name of the artist now.

7vail True, mezdeke is not a band , it is a belly dance group( mostly russian girls) based in Istanbul, they have made 9 cds(mostly Arabic songs) and they have included this song and I have that in my mp3 collection thats how i knew, as i said they just changed the names to avoid copy right. Now it seems there are copycats in morroco, maybe mezdeke bought the rights from the company that made this moroccon dvd and with it the wrong names or maybe it is the other way round, who knows.

luxul.I did not get The CD from Morocco But Tunisia & I sent you a page from his Biography to ur msg box explaining how it MIGHT have got their, Their are 14 fantastic traks on the cd one he even sings half in Arabic & half in French, On another (I have just played it to be sure) he says Welcome Morrocans, Algerians, & all people of the word, The 2 traks lead me to presume that he was Moroccan, The cd has no name on it, none of the songs have titles, if i new how to upload I would put it on.
