@gabbogabbo picture quality about equal to dvd, sound is the best thing about laserdisc, i have 'twister' THX NTSC laserdisc and the sound on this disc has to be heard to be believed, it is one of the best discs I have ever heard, sounds amazing when played through a surround sound system :-)
@zachzilla26 goot question, I have had it 2 years and haven't actually opened it yet! I will do a video for it soon, do a google search for it in the meantime :-)
2:19 CAV side of The Empire Strikes Back I have the same edition still!
Do you have an AC-3 laserdisc player? I dont just standard with no modification. Wouldnt mind a LP with DolbyAC-3 so I can re-listen to this version as I heard it in dts at UCI Tower Park screen 6 when it played back in early 1997.
Thanks for the feedback. It was filmed with a sony cybershot digital camera, no focus in video mode -- but I have a new panasonic digital video camera so I will be doing another box set video which should be a lot better quality & in 16:9 :-)
Not a bad player but does not play both sides, so need to manually eject the disc and flip it. I am always on the look out for a Pioneer CLD-1850 or 2850. May also consider the Sony MDP-800 as well!
Did laserdisc came before DVDs?

Where are the 95 editions? That version of the movies is shit. They're all chocked full of craptacular 1997 CGI.

Even from here, the image quality looks GREAT.

I had the song MDP-800. Great player. Excellent remote!

May I suggest you use the manual focus on your camera if it has one. All those close ups of the disc writing won't show up so blurry.

@LeeDarkParadox
Stay away from Sony when it comes to Laserdisc players. Stick with Pioneer.

A friend of mine had this BoxSet, and the 1993 Definitive Collection. I borrowed them from him many times.
