While I miss Axls "Mr.Brownstone" style vocals, I've gotta admit I think he sounds fantastic on this song. I hear a bit of both Appetite (Rocketqueen) and Illusion (November Rain) coming through here, but I agree this entire album is far-removed from old GNR. In my opinion, this is the best song on the album.
This song is awesome, some people's musical taste just need to develop so they can appreciate different sounds, some genuinely don't like it. It could have been Lulu from Metallica hahahahaha.

@Kurki This isn't terrible but I think it's fair to say Slash's guitar carried a lot more emotion with a lot fewer notes and riffs. Most of these songs sound cluttered in my humble but correct opinion.

Slash can do with 1 note what 3 guitarists can´t with 100, I´m not sayin´ this is better than the original GNR or real GNR or whatever you want to call it, but that´s the mistake: listen this record trying to compare it with the original GNR. Chinese D is a great record by itself, it´s the result of a genius mind, not better than AFD, Lies or UYI, but still a piece of art. we can't expect Axl and the GNR now to sound like what they used to back in the 80s; new members, new era, new everything.
This isn't GNR anymore, but it's still good. like LouisAmStart said, it's more like a "Axl's band" not GNR anymore. Don't get me wrong; I still like the fact that Axl is still making music. But we just can't expect him to sound like the way he did in 80s. we'll just have to accept him.

don't get me wrong nothing will replace what old gnr but have an open mind i was that way when i heard the album just wrote it off than the more you listen it's actually one of the few albums that i listened to repeatedly and for all the haters axl voice is back i saw some of his performances in 2010 and you can't argue with it not the same feeling with the guitar but axl got his afd and use your illusion voice back and can still hit the notes SO THE HATERS (FUCK OFF)

I like it not the sameas there other albums but change is good like metallica when they released St. Anger it grows on ppl.... I cant wait to see these guys on tuesday in saskatoon without slash and izzy is a shame but still get to rock out to there tunes all night....PCE
