  • there still people who have good heart....put away the hatred and we all human and all same...1 Malaysia

  • i'm more touched on the comments here by fellow malaysian... you guys made me believe there're still good hearted malaysian out there who are united...

  • I'm a muslim and my best friend is a christian. I LOVE HER!!

  • i think malay, chinese or even india is a great friends ! :) horaaayy to MALAYSIA !

  • wow! Im the 39999 viewer............

    Sorry!

  • Malay and Chinese are close actually...

but our UMNO and MCA politicians are s*cks

  • ..brings tears to my eyes. It's my first time watching this clip, though.

  • We are all human beings. We all differ by skin colour but the bottom line is that we are of human race. It is a great message that this ad has put out.

  • udah2 le dgn pkauman..1 malaysia, we should do that.

  • saya sebagai org melayu sangat menyayangi kaum2 lain dlm malaysia. cuma saya minta hentikan menghentam agama Islam dan mempertikaikan hak2 bumiputra. jgn kita jadi bodoh terhasut dgn penyagak politik. kelak kita semua rugi.

  • Dear Selebet77,

We all love other races too. I've Muslim friends and I believe Malay Muslim are friend, compassionate, sincere, etc. It sadden me when politician uses race and religion to divide our country.

    May Allah bless you.

  • leyehe;

1Malaysia, 1Love... What ever your religion, may GOD bless you. Sy hidup aman tenteram sejak lahir hinggalah sekarang... namun semenjak awal 2000 hingga sekarang ada ahli politik yg bermain api untuk membakar negara sendiri. Semoga Allah menurunkan Bala Yg Maha Hebat kepada Pengkhianat Negara!

  • I've heard a lot of malay people are very rude though... ... Well... maybe YOU are nice. :)

  • StarCelebrities;

Alamak kawan... malu la I u kata "a lot malay plp very rude". Saya dibesarkan dalam keluar Melayu Islam. Ibu bapa saya ajar saya bersopan santun, berbudi bahasa dan taat kepada agama. I think you need to merge your self with Malaysian. So... u will know your self. Don't ever believe what politician say. argghhh... they dirty.. will do anything to get power. have a nice day.

  • Well... i dont know quite understand what you said cos' i dont speak malay much and cos' here's what they said (in malaysian english): "Ehhhhhhhhh, you know ah, i dont want to be muslim anymore." and she said that malay people are very rude so thats her reason. I really dont know! She's in Singapore now. yea, i know, politicians can be mean at times.

  • just ignore them la friend... with their comment we will forever prejudice with other races or religions. I love Malaysia, because we live together no matter what are you races or religions. I live with peace and harmony. But lately, some politician used races issues to get sympathy and support. This politician act like they are super hero try to save some race from maltreatment. they are bullshit! actually they are sent Malaysia down! for me it simple... 1Malaysia, 1Love! (sorry bad english)

  • Malays are not rude, okay? Shame on you to categorize and stereotype an entire ethnic group. Some of my closest friends are Malays, being Chinese myself.

  • i am proud to be a Malaysian..~

  • Are we going to let our politician destroy our beloved country? I love this country a lot. As a Chinese Malaysian, I care a lot about other races problem. I want our government to help all races; however, our politician always blame my race for all the problem. Am I really a problem to my homeland (Malaysia)?

  • no la..they're all politician..

they like to change a lot of the real facts..

dont actually believe what the newspaper or media telling is 100% the truth..

  • Yea i trust you love our country with all your heart... Yup me too want the Government to help all race no matter what background their hv especially all those who were poor. All Politician is responsible in playing race and sensitive issues. Special right does not mean the Gov hv the right to ignore other race other than the Bumi's, plus the non bumi's also must respect the fact that has been agreed by our ancestor. Most bumi's nowdays aspecially in sbh and srwk is poor..They hv nothing.

  • Overall, we most of us agree that Bumi's and non-Bumis are all Malaysians. It's true that we've racist Chinese which they don't represent me and my race. You're right about us neglecting the Sbh and Srwk Bumis too. Have you ever noticed that Semanjung Malaysia doesn't really know much about Sbh and Srwk? I wish the government could have introduce us more about Iban, Kadazan, etc culture. Continue,,,,

  • Based on most of the comment from your viewers, we all love our homeland and other races a lot. I'm sorry that there are ignorant Chinese that make such a statement at the Sbh and Srwk Bumis.

  • @leyehe You such a nice, good hearted person my friend...I not see u as Chinese o whtever,i see u as my bro...May God bles you always!

  • Continue..

And as i said, that doesnt mean other non bumi's can be ignored. All poor non bumi's must be help. I ever met racist Chinese who insult Sarawakien bumi's saying all the bumi's is nothing "we are rich" than that fat guy laugh after beating the poor girl(bumi's)...Also ever met racist Malay and other. But we cannot blame all the community just because of some who make mistake rite.. You is not a problem, u is a bless to our country.

  • I'm assuming you're Sbh/Srwk Bumi. I've always interested to learn about the Sbh and Srwk Bumi culture. Is it possible for you or your friends to create some video for us (ignorant Semanjung Malaysian) learn more about your culture? I feel ashame that the Federal government never truly promote East Malaysian culture.

  • @leyehe Owh ok..I try.Its not an easy task,Borneo hv alot of culture and race. You such a humble person..Peace be with you my Friend.May God bless you and ur family always! :)

  • This happened because politicians were too busy stoking hate.

They haven't changed in 40 years.

    Malaysia belongs to the rakyat.

    Not the politicians.

  • We are Happy Malaysian. Racism is not acceptable in our love Country. Malay, Indian, Chinese and others are Malaysian. Together we keep our RELATIONSHIP. Love Malaysia.

  • Cntnue..

    Says the Holy Quran:

"O MANKINDI WE CREATED YOU FROM A SINGLE (PAIR) OF A MALE AND A FEMALE, AND MADE YOU INTO NATIONS AND TRIBES, THAT YE MAY KNOW EACH OTHER NOT THAT YE MAY DESPISE EACH OTHER. VERILY THE MOST HONOURED OF YOU IN THE SIGHT OF GOD IS (HE WHO IS) THE MOST RIGHTEOUS OF YOU. AND GOD HAS FULL KNOWLEDGE AND IS WELL ACQUAINTED (WITH ALL THINGS)."

    Holy Quran 49:13

    >That is what God says in the Quran and this is what Yasmin Ahmad believe and fight for.. SAY NO TO RACISM!!:)

  • Learn the history so you may have the wisdom to be better

  • i was thinking.. if government doesn't wanted the dark days to repeat.. why they still need us to remember? new generations didn't know about it then why don't they just let them?

  • Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it - George Santayana.

  • before talking about forgive and forget, we must at least understand what actually happened. so one wouldnn't easily agitated by hate speech.

  • Hello, I am wondering what the political situation was that prompted these ads? Any guidance would be helpful. Thank you!

  • It was a dark time in Malaysia where There's a serious racial conflict between chinese and malays that result in bloodshed..

This ad is to remind us to never venture to those dark days before

it brought sorrow to the whole country

  • It shows like as if it was 13 may but the clips at 0.33 show the date 15. I think they forgot to put the correct date.

  • It took a couple of days for everything to turn into chaos. Not exactly on the day itself.

  • i dont think so~

our ads mostly cannot have any political issues~

this ad was because of the Muslims and chinese celebrating their own festive at a time~ the theme was: unity~

  • Such a good commercial to air when CNY and Hari Raya Adilfitri are at same time

  • Yasmin is a very kind and sincere person

  • Live In Harmony will make everything stay in line..=)

  • wow, this is brave. shot by yasmin?

  • Do you mean Yasmin Achmad??

  • yes...

  • i still remember this one...i think this is one of the most meaningful petronas ads.....i'm going to show this to my students.

  • Yeah beautifully done, sincerely hopes that this caring can be passed on!!!

  • very good! It shows real friendship. There are always good people around us no matter who they are, their race, nationality and religion.Thks for sharing.
