@genocidaldemon14 I think its a clash of old fans and new fans (teens mostly who think they are hardcore for listening to black metal). Old stuff is more real, very raw, atmosphereic. While the new Dimmu is very over produced, over rehearse and has lost its charm of atmosphere for a more epic sound. I like Dimmu but I just think their new stuff from Puritanical to present was just garbage. I think its a matter of taste in sound.

The changes Dimmu Borgir made are to extreme and it is still not Dimmu Borgir. Thats the point. Since Vortex and Mustis left, Dimmus died a little more. Vortex' voice was a great part of Dimmu Borgir ... thats why.
