Maybe it's just hearing this style of song, but his voice sounds like it's gotten better over the years. I guess that would be natural, he's continued his career as a performer even if he's not as popular in the states as he was in the '80's.

Last night I saw GINO live at the Alberta Rose. OMG!!!!! I had a seat picked out and planned to use it. The lights went down. The band began to play. GINO appeared. I stood the whole time! Who can sit when GINO is singing??? Gino spoke of this event at the Vatican and I am re-visiting. (Ask him. Not me.) I listen to Gino in the car, at home, everywhere...Yet, there is something magical when listening to his voice while driving through the mountains! Life without GINO's gift is pointless!

I just find this performance so moving. It just seems like karma to me- what a well deserved benchmark for this gifted Italian Canadian; to perform at the Vatican, the ultimate Italian stage. It's so beautiful, as Gino is! As someone said somewhere; thank you God for Gino Vannelli!
