the drop step is more of a matter of comfort there have been many great pitchers who use the drop steps there have been many pitchers who dont use it. this really isnt even a drill though.

Another perfect example of how not to pitch a ball. Great idea. Take a step back and when you go into your wind-up you'll be off balance
