  • @MUSICandBEERDRINKER I know that but this vids about easy company so so I talk about easy company

  • God bless everyone. Guarnere and Toye both got legs blown of in the bulge. Poor guys, Toye was awarded the purple heart 3 times what hero, just like everyone in Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne. What heros.

    general patton buried there.

  • lol, penkala was played by my Brother Tim.....gutted to see he wasnt up there,But still very nice to watch .x

  • :')...this is a fantastic video! i am italian and I thank you for saving us during World War II! My grandmother still speaks to me of you when you came on your ... Sherman: '). He tells me that you Americans, just arrived with your liking of the chocolate spread around the houses! thanks again guys! there will never forget!

  • Hey thanks a lot for the upload. This was an amazing series but sometimes when they're wearing helmets it's hard to put a name to a face so this helped me distinguish them so thanks again!

  • OMG!!!!! i cant beleive Winters is dead, thts the first i heard of it, ive always had so much respect for him, and always looked up to him as an insperational leader, im so upset now.

  • @notredale123 you probably disabled my annotations, but i saw the mistake also and i corrected it through an annotation sorry for my fault

  • robert bloser was kia 6/7/44 he was with the band of brothers.belive he was a pfc.anybody know more about him his pic is on googhle images?

  • RIP MAJOR RICHARD WINTERS!!!

  • You forgot the "f' in shifty. Hahaha lol

  • they got spears spot on

  • First thing I thought when I saw the pictures of the real guys back when they first did this show was they could have only done better at getting actors to look like the guys if they cloned easy.

  • great video

  • Fantastic video :) they did a great job pairing up the actors to the hero that they portrayed. One that you didn't include (I mean no offense when I say this - it would obviously be impossible to include everyone) that is an uncanny resemblance would have to be Bart Ruspoli who played Edward Tipper in the first 3 episodes. Once again, great job & RIP to all those heroes who gave everything so we don't have to

  • @Spoiltlilprincess I made a new video already where i added him and a lot more, go check it out :D thanks for the nice response

  • @Distancian thanks, I'll go check it out and you're very welcome :)

  • wonderful wonderful people who gave their lives for all of us. I also watch the DVD and marvel at the bravery of every one of these guys. They were heroes one and all.

  • The music is NOT Bethooven....it's Chopin Pathique 2nd movement

  • @brennal1979 I searched it in youtube, and it's the same song this is what i found : Ludwig van Beethoven - Pathétique - 2nd movement - Adagio cantabile

  • @brennal1979 It IS Beethoven :)

If you knew Chopin at all, you'd know it isn't Chopin :)

  • i got the band of brothers box set for christmas too and i must say, its brilliant to see what the men did and felt. no one can imagine how they must have felt though at those harsh times, especially the battle of the bulge. poor joe toye and wild bill. major winters-what a great leader. lipton too. ive just watched the concentation camp one, i think i have two more to go? anyway r.i.p and thankyou to these men for allowing the world to live on in peace for a long time. amen.

  • great scripting

  • I think that these types of tributes are few and far between. Thanks for taking the time to do this. One of my Christmas list requests was the DVD set of Band of Brothers. About twice a year, I watch it, in its entirety, one ot two DVDs a day. I never want to forget what these brave men, and others like them, have done for those of us you have come after.

  • The picture at 2.48 showed Alex Penkala but the next picture showed the actor David Nicolle who played Lt. Peacock. Great video though.

  • @Music19841 you probably disabled my annotations, but i saw the mistake also and i corrected it through an annotation sorry for my fault

  • We Korean people heartfully thanks US army who died for liberty in world war 2 and in korean war.

  • i can not believe how much Richard Winters and Damian Lewis look alike

  • RIP Major Winters

  • who ever disliked this, well fuck you these men saved your ass show some respect

  • The actor that played Lt Peacock is David Nicolle.

  • They all are heros, but my favorites are Bull, Shifty, Doc Roe, Winters and Nix.

  • They all are heros, but my favorites are Bull, Shifty, Doc Roe, Winters and Nix.

  • I'll tell you who is not anyones favorite hebert sobel

  • I hope it is realised the the original 'Band of Brothers' was the Englist at the battle of Argencourt in 1425 under King Henry 5th. From the Cronicles I relate " We gallant few, we happy breed of men, we band of brothers" Then the five thousand of them went on to fight the battle, and defeated 50.000 Frenchmen. All in a days work really!

  • What's the name of the music ?

  • @7511232 Beethoven - Adagio Cantabile

  • @Distancian Thank you

  • don't you think the actors look like the real soldiers

  • @AOD141 For the same reason if you put food in someone's mouth, they look like their eating. Or if you put a doctor's outfit on a actor, he looks like a doctor. The costume, and make-up for the face make everything..

  • @GearHeadHeart

Yes but both lost one of their legs.

  • great grammer in the begining

  • its amazing how most actors look like the real soldiers. my favourites are bill guarnere, george luz, joe liebgott but i love doc roe :)

  • I wish they'd done portaits of all the actors, like the soldiers did.

  • I wish they'd done portaits of all the actors, like the soldier did.

  • should have used music from BoB

  • The generation that saved the world, all Great Men.

  • O thanks

  • they did save the world!!!

  • Thank you for making this video! I met Louis Nixon many years ago, and I met Buck Compton at an ROTC dinner recently. He signed my DVD copy of Band of Brothers!

  • hey did joe toye and bill guarnere ever make it home alive when they both got hit?

  • @GearHeadHeart Yeah they did :) They did however both loose their right leg, but they got home.

  • @oooda ok good just making sure

  • My grandad died in World war 2.

He was fighting for Finland in the winterwar.

    Im from Sweden btw.

I wish i could see my grandad.

  • When you put their pictures up next to the men who played them in the series, you an really see how well their casting was. I love this, very nicely done!

  • @ladylancelot500 i know , i think its amazing :O band of brothers is soooooo good :)

  • There is no question that he did live after the war and fought in Korea, I was surpised to see what the family did to change that info so it was right. I wonder how that happened that a "shoulder wound" that he did get and lived turned into a mortal neck wound.

  • Great video! The music goes well with it too.

  • Private bullshit :D

  • @Distancian k thanks

  • @Distancian Yeah, that was probably their biggest mistake they made, which I guess they could get away with using creative license, but at least I can appreciate them for admitting that they do have errors rather than just trying to avoid it.

  • I was happy to see david webster was in this. He wrote a pretty damn good book about his adventure in the war.. Good man. RIP

  • I think David Webster was the best Inspiration for the Band Of Brothers book, it says a lot of his letters back to home

  • yes indeed. Too bad there wasnt more scenes in the series that were in the book.. Than again he didnt spend too much time in the 101st. And when he was, he had bullet holes in him lol

  • Oh and by the way, this vid is great man.. 5 stars

  • sounds like Schubert was very inspired by this... the important melody motiv of this song comes back into a famous Schubert theme.

en ik heb gehoord dat ze een tweede deel van bob gingen maken

    dat over korea gaat :)

  • Tomorrow it's 60 Years Ago That Easy Went Into The Little Town Of Foy

  • Adding my two cents. Albert Blithe survived the WW2 and died 1967.

  • @Yosh997 if you watched the Band of Brothers dvds Blithe was shot in the neck and died of his wounds in either 1948 or 1949

  • @beasty340 Yes. No - he didn't die that early. Google it.

  • @Yosh997 my mistake, your right.

  • Neil McDonough (Buck Campton) was also in Flags of our Fathers.

Yeah great men of war-too bad I can't sit down and hear their stories from them personally, its like my greatest dream to interview all ww 2 vets that I could find

  • pacific is out on sky in couple of weeks?

  • The pacific is coming out in march 2010 in the US, most likley the rest of the countries will air it shortly after that.

  • @PrivateMilano ok so where do you get the intel from

  • I know it also for a while. I saw it on a site. It is a 10 hours mini-series again. and was recorded in melbourne. But i have no idea when the premiere is

  • @grunt182820

I read it from a site not too long ago, I can't remeber which one so have a search for it. It was apparently supposed to come out on channel 7 in Australia in 2009 or early 2010, but then it was changed to premiere after it does int he US, which is said to be in March.

  • These were real heroes. They are probably the greatest military men in world history. I guess that the Roman soldiers were similar, but these guys were fitter, more skilled and braver.

  • sink is in Brothers in Arms

  • Great video. Nice musical score with it, happy holidays to all.

  • "There was a time when the world asked ordinary men to do extraordinary things"
