God bless everyone. Guarnere and Toye both got legs blown of in the bulge. Poor guys, Toye was awarded the purple heart 3 times what hero, just like everyone in Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne. What heros.
i was in bastogne and see the foxholes and in Hamm kirk yard and see penkala, muck and 2 with medal of honer. 3 other form band of brothers is also there.

Hey thanks a lot for the upload. This was an amazing series but sometimes when they're wearing helmets it's hard to put a name to a face so this helped me distinguish them so thanks again!
OMG!!!!! i cant beleive Winters is dead, thts the first i heard of it, ive always had so much respect for him, and always looked up to him as an insperational leader, im so upset now.
First thing I thought when I saw the pictures of the real guys back when they first did this show was they could have only done better at getting actors to look like the guys if they cloned easy.
Fantastic video :) they did a great job pairing up the actors to the hero that they portrayed. One that you didn't include (I mean no offense when I say this - it would obviously be impossible to include everyone) that is an uncanny resemblance would have to be Bart Ruspoli who played Edward Tipper in the first 3 episodes. Once again, great job & RIP to all those heroes who gave everything so we don't have to
wonderful wonderful people who gave their lives for all of us. I also watch the DVD and marvel at the bravery of every one of these guys. They were heroes one and all.
@brennal1979 I searched it in youtube, and it's the same song this is what i found : Ludwig van Beethoven - Pathétique - 2nd movement - Adagio cantabile
i got the band of brothers box set for christmas too and i must say, its brilliant to see what the men did and felt. no one can imagine how they must have felt though at those harsh times, especially the battle of the bulge. poor joe toye and wild bill. major winters-what a great leader. lipton too. ive just watched the concentation camp one, i think i have two more to go? anyway r.i.p and thankyou to these men for allowing the world to live on in peace for a long time. amen.
I think that these types of tributes are few and far between. Thanks for taking the time to do this. One of my Christmas list requests was the DVD set of Band of Brothers. About twice a year, I watch it, in its entirety, one ot two DVDs a day. I never want to forget what these brave men, and others like them, have done for those of us you have come after.
I hope it is realised the the original 'Band of Brothers' was the Englist at the battle of Argencourt in 1425 under King Henry 5th. From the Cronicles I relate " We gallant few, we happy breed of men, we band of brothers" Then the five thousand of them went on to fight the battle, and defeated 50.000 Frenchmen. All in a days work really!
@AOD141 For the same reason if you put food in someone's mouth, they look like their eating. Or if you put a doctor's outfit on a actor, he looks like a doctor. The costume, and make-up for the face make everything..
Thank you for making this video! I met Louis Nixon many years ago, and I met Buck Compton at an ROTC dinner recently. He signed my DVD copy of Band of Brothers!
When you put their pictures up next to the men who played them in the series, you an really see how well their casting was. I love this, very nicely done!
There is no question that he did live after the war and fought in Korea, I was surpised to see what the family did to change that info so it was right. I wonder how that happened that a "shoulder wound" that he did get and lived turned into a mortal neck wound.
ma grandpa was richerd winters (dick winters) i loved him but now hes passed awway he gave me one of his cartriges 4 his m1 garand and he gave me his helmet i cry wen i see his cartridge or his helmet i loved him RIP

@Distancian Yeah, that was probably their biggest mistake they made, which I guess they could get away with using creative license, but at least I can appreciate them for admitting that they do have errors rather than just trying to avoid it.
With the efforts of all coalition nations, USA, Britain, NZ, Australia, Canada and the efforts of the freedom fighters - the underground, we today would not be free. Thank you.

Such honorable men, such proud men and without them, we would not be free, thank you for your sacrifice and thank you for making sure Britain was not invaded or i would not have been here, as the Luftwafer was bombing where my parents were children in Britain.
