I think he has a great sound. Very smooth, very nice voice. I think he has a chance. I listen to a lot of music. I think he could use some work. He needs to put more of himself in the music. More oomph is what I think he could use. He has a strong voice if he would open that up a bit, it would really help.

this is a really well written song. my buds refer to em as "swooner" songs, cause girls love em.

i feel like he could revamp this guitar part a little. the chord structure's bassically there, but maybe add a riff or solo section to spice it up? the tricky thing with his rich chords is theyre not as easy to untamed ears as a simpler inversions of them are. i really like the chord structure btw (especially at the chorus). i think with time he could develop into a good artist with some coaching.

In my opinion, to really break through, mr. Swanson has to be more unique. Create his own version of the classic "dude-with-guitar-jack-johnson­-a-like"-sound. I hope you get my point. BUT it is not that I don't like this song, or any of his other songs. So please keep up the good work. I hope to hear more from this guy.

Wow...I mean for my opinion he is better than Mraz. But not really compairable to John Mayer or Jack Johnson. Mayer has his uncompairable voice and his electric solos. Jack Johnson has his epic hawaiian style. But Steve here is really talented !

it's a good song - well done. a lot of pick noise - perhaps try with more of a finger style? not that i could do it better - but to be in the company you're being compared to - perhaps work on singing in front of a mirror and practicing your presence... plugging in the guitar and eq-ing more bass might help fill out the sound... keep at ti!

Great song, obviously sounds ALOT lot Jason Mraz, to the point where it sounds like Mraz could have wrote it himself. He's going to be compared to Mraz alot with a sound like this so he needs to work on a couple things. Stage presence, wheres the emotion? Great sounding voice but doesn't have that power that Mraz does and for the love of god practice your guitar some more. Staring at your frets for 95% of your performance removes yourself from your audience and takes power away from your perfor

I might part agree about the presence, but if you were a guitar player you'd know by the way he plays there's nothing about practicing his guitar some more. he was probably looking at his frets because he was shy, or nervous, which refers again to the presence. And the vocal power?.... yes Jason has a more powerful voice (gosh...Jason mraz... he's god, no one has more than him) But who said we need power? some prefer smooth singing and it's only a choice, not a weakness.
