Molte grazie, civileso. Thank you so much.
I just listened to this I think 4 times in a row . . . I have to go to a class in a minute and I just don't to . . . hahaha . . . actually I'm going to choir where I'm bitter because we learn the Plorate and yet never performed it . . . XD
How sweet and wonderful!! 27 years ago i was in university and performed this piece; i was the Alto Historicus. Hehe, i never heard it as an audience would, only as a singer would. I am so moved, crying a little for the past. What a wonderful thing to catch it again!! Thanks so much....
You are right, it's one of the pieces of music I prefer absolutely. I remember the evening when I have listened first time on the radio, nearly 40 years ago. My life became more beautiful (I beg your pardon for my bad english, I'm italian)
Yasunori Imamura, theorbo, and Martin Gester, organ. In the other parts, there's also Jean-Marie Quint, violone, Marion Fourquier, harp, and a harpsichord, probably played by Gester, but sometimes both can be heard at the same time (in the chorus starting at 1:16 in the first video, for instance), so... :-/

do you know what choir this is?
Ceskinda 11 months ago
@Ceskinda If you check the video description you can see the singers. It is the singers listed here singing the choruses, not a separate choir.

This might as well be a completely authentic performance.

That final chorus is one of the most moving pieces of music ever written. Good interpretation, and the lament was exceptional.
