Actually, it's ironic that Kim Kaphwan doesn't say "Evil is Unforgivable" to Akuma, Shin Akuma, and Violent Ken. Althoughl, Sagat and the Akuma forms plus Violent Ken only rely on power rather than good or evil.

Kim Kaphwan was named after Kim Kap-hwan, founder/president of Viccom and founder of UnoTechnology. Viccom was SNK's Korean distributor known for creating Fight Fever (assisted by SNK by borrowing their stuff) and The Eye of Typhoon. UnoTechnology, along with Dec Company, almost finished KOF World (or The King of Fighters Online), but canceled it for unknown reasons.

S.N.K. really got the Capcom characters wrong. For example: Guile have fought against Tae kwon doe fighters, hell, he do it on a regular bases. Well, use to when Ken still lived in San Fransisco.

This is an allusion to the fact that Street Fighter has never had a Taekwondo fighter. Han Juri of SS4 is the first Tae Kwon Do fighter in the series history.

Ken uses Tae Kwon Doe. He use to live in the same city as Ken. *Fact* They sparred together a lot and even held [forced] cookouts.

But really why is Sagat evil. SNK really mess them up.

No, he doesn't. He uses Ansatsuken Karate, just like Ryu. His style just focuses on kicks and the Shoryuken, while Ryu focuses solely on the techniques and the Hadoken. It's like the dynamic between Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia. Ryo is punch-focused and Robert is kick-focused, but they both still use Kyokugen Karate.

I do agree that Sagat isn't evil. He's more amoral that anything.

Ansatsuken is a blanket term. It's not a style but a philosophy. Much like Jeet Koun Doe and MMA. As long as you go by the way of the discipline you can add anything to it. This is how Ryu, Ken and Gen can all be Ansatsuken fighter; but be so different.

Both Ken and Ryu bases are in Karate. That's true but Ken focus on Tae Kwon Doe and Ryu focus in on grappling. Ryu uses mainly Judo with his Hadou. Notice how Capcom never referred to Ryu and Ken as Karate students, but as Hadou students.

Ryu and Ken are both students of Gouken who taught them his form of Karate. Ken doesn't use Tae Kwon Do, which is an entire style unto itself. He uses a personalized form of Gouken's Karate, which focuses on style, finesse, and the Shoryuken. Again, it's just like Ryo and Robert. Their ways of implementing the style is different, but it's still a form of Karate. That's why they have the same stance.

We see Gokens fighting techniques in SF4, which nothing like Ken's or Ryu's. He doesn't show Judo nor a high array of kicks, so it can't be from him. He taught them the bases of Karate but the focus was on Anekusken.

Much like MMA or Jeet Koun Doe. They will teach you the bases of one style; but focus on the ideal of the art. You put in whatever you want. Ken uses moves that are mainly seen in Tae Kwon Doe. Ken focus heavily on kicks. This was in one of the SF Capcom approved guides.

Just because he focuses on kicks doesn't mean its Tae Kwon Do. All three of them use they same techniques that constitute this style of Karate: Hadoken, Shoryuken, and Hurricane Kick. If Ken was using Tae Kwon Do, he'd probably shoot the fireball with his feet and use his feet to do Shoryuken. Again, it's like Ryo, Robert, and Yuri Sakazaki. They use different strategies and implementations, but its still the same form of Karate. Also, if you check SSF4, Juri is called the first Taekwondo user.

It's also funny how Kim says Vega and Balrog are evil, but doesn't even mention it in the beginning against Sagat. All three are with Bison in Shadoloo.

Kim even calls him evil in the dialogue, but perhaps he's not "that" evil.

Sagat isn't really evil. He just works for Bison to get a rematch with Ryu. In Alpha, he even helps Ryu come out of the Satsui no Hadou.

I didn't really like this game. Capcom should have made this one.

Even so, this game was fun. I liked to play as Kim, Ryu, Ken and Akuma.
