The 0.01% is because AO games on anything else than Xbox/PlayStation/Nintendo can still be published (PC, for example has some AO-rated games on it) But still, AO should not be banned on those 3 consoles. People should just be given a choice to either avoid or play those games, rather than it being an automatic "no."

I agree, what ever happened to good parents. 6 year olds shouldn't be seeing PG-13, 10 year olds shouldn't be seeing R. There is a reason games and movies are rated. I don't usually agree with the rating system, but I know that it's a good thing to have. I do think the ESRB and MPAA overates things, but still, there are some kids who just don't have the maturity to see R and PG-13 films, M and T games!
I suspect that the one year difference is because 18 is the age of legal adulthood in the USA for just about everything... except beer. It is basically the gaming version of NC-17 or (if you are old enough) X. 17 is basically an R rating.

So i go to Target/Best Buy/ Walmart (insert video game retailer) and buy the game i want. I have been playing 18 rated games since 8.
I play GTA it is rated stong violance, very strong langauge, sex and drugs.
People fight at school and a few months ago someone got stabbed in the arm (IN MY SCHOOL)
People swear at school far more than charicters in games.
We are shown penises with yellow spots in Health Education.
I can't even count the number of times I have been offered drugs by my peers (Didn't except)
Just rate school 18+ for fuck sake than.

They should but they don't, and as simple as they make it (even more strict them movie ratings), Parents should still know what their kids are playing, [hell even play with them or try the game first].

higher ratings are better because it keeps annoying kids from playing the game. More then likely if a 16 or 17 year old wants it they;ll get it but a Ao rating makes it harder for those annoying 12 year olds from getting online

ERSB is a bunch of bull. Just take for example if you had a child that went hunting and the child killed a animal. That animal was once alive it live and breathed and a child killed it. That is perfectly alright in sociey, but if you have a violent video game like GTA you killed a cop that never lived. It is a big deal because politians are idiots and they think it is something a child can do. Or halo the game is awesome but all that movemnet and jumps melle move are not even humanly possible.

As someone at the age of 14 this whole ESRB fiasco doesn't really effect me at great lengths. Why? you ask, because the enforcement is laughable. I don't consider myself a inappropriate content seeker, i just want to play quality games and Looney Toons: ACME Aresnal just isn't going to do it. So i go to Target/Best Buy/ Walmart (insert video game retailer) and buy the game i want. I am able to do this because the retailers are willing to exchange their game for my money Great Video Man 5/5

I played M games since I was 5 years old. My favorite game as a kid was Conkers Bad Fur Day. I personally didn't think it was too graphic or anything. As long as you know what happens in games isn't real, you can consider yourself mature enough to play them.

I'm 14 and I live in Taiwan. The game and dvd stores doesn't give a f... I just rented saw 4 and rogue assassin yesterday, and im playing bioshock and halo 3 through xbox live,and the orange box through my pc. My parents doesn't care, My father play the same thing I play. Even if i live in the states and if i wanted Mature games. My parents will buy them for me. The games really doesn't make any differences to your brain. Seriously, it is better to just get rid of esrb and stuff.

I am very young (below 14) won't say real age. I play 18 games and watch several scary movies like Silent Hill. Ok, I think this video makes alot of sense. I can play 18 games if I want, my mother lets me and all and it doesn't turn me into a murdering psychopath. I am mature enough to know if a game is going to influence me and if so, I won't play it. But the thing is, very few games can influence people and it's asshole like those guys who hi-jacked a car and blamed it on GTA that ruin it all.

I play GTA, Killzone, max payne, punisher (almost like manhunt 2) and a hell of alot of other mature games. I'm still the damn same guy I use to be, I get A's, I'm a pretty decent guy, they r all just animations, non of it's real or even close to real. I ain't a blood thirsty psyco now, it's just bullshit!
