Look at all the injuries the Pats endured on Defense as well as Offense. if we even made the playoffs we would have been picked apart and walked all over by a team like San Diego, Pittsburgh, or Indy. we probaly could have made it past the Wild card round against Miami / Baltimore

As a Patriots fan I would be ecstatic if Cassel went to the Vikings. I like the team they have built and it seems as if a quarterback upgrade is the last big need. With Cassel's mobility I think he'd fit the feel of the team and if they landed him they'd be my favorite to win the NFC. There would be some doubt nationally, but having watched him for a season I have no doubt he would succeed. The Vikings deserve it and they definitely have the nuts to make the trade.

Actually, Tarvaris Jackson did well against the Falcons and Giants (aside from the fumble which was his fault against ATL and an INT against NYG). Vs. Atlanta, Jackson had 233 yards and 2 TDs, plus 81 rush yds with a 98.5 passer rating. Against the Gmen, he had 239 yards with a nice TD pass to Berrian.
All in all, Jackson can be good, but he's inconsistant. I don't think Matt Cassel is worth what he's being asked for. If he came cheaper, I wouldn't be opposed.

Actually the Patriots had a really good running game. They were top five in yards per carry. He also had Randy Moss and Wes Welker to throw too.
