OMG!!!! I did this play Purlie when I was in the 12th grade girl you took me back! and MAY is my Birth month the best month ever 5*'s Miss Thang five stars
You know what...I swatched it my hands...and left it at that lol...its a nice color...but its not smooth like paint pots or anything..it might be like the shadestickkind of..thanks for bringing it up...I think I will do a look using the 6th sin lol <333
And I saw "Purlie" in New York...Cleavon Little, Melba Moore, Linda Hopkins, etc. One of the "older" (I was in my early 20s then, so everyone seemed "old" to me) ladies who was in our party knew Linda Hopkins personally, and we all took the subway uptown together.
LOL! When I have two colors that look like they might clash a little (for instance, like the cool green and the warm green in this look), I overlap them more than I would with other colors. That way, they create a third color between them that helps relate them. With good blending, you can make pretty much any color combination happen.
EmsyJay, I am sorry girl I love your video's I didnt mean it like that, I was just watching you and ended up pay attention to the song like a history lesson You always play different music..I got to pick some cotton! yes Its still cotton fields In the south!
Hey Emsy. That Velvet moss does not treat me good. It comes on too black Is it mainly for the crease? When I tried it at M.A.C, she used it as a liner. I love it in the pot and would love it to show on my lid the same color. Any suggestions?
Hey, Micki! To get a matte color to look on my lid as it does in the pot, I usually try packing it on over a white or a light neutral base. I also sometimes use a lighter shimmery base of the same color (for example, Corn shadestick with Chrome Yellow eyeshadow). You might even find that a gold base will work with Velvet Moss. Or give Lucky Jade shadestick a try if you have it. Thanks!
Oh, Micki! I know you didn't mention the "W" word on my video! ;)
Pinky's our sister, and her heart is always kind and open. Your mama loves you; I love you; Pinky loves you. No worries, just crossed wires from time to time. :)
Yeah, the song is from a Broadway musical called Purlie, which is based on Ossie Davis' 1961 play Purlie Victorious. The song is about yearning for social justice in a time in which it was lacking in the South and the North. Ultimately, both characters agree that their Georgia home is where they want to be, but they dream of being there and being treated fairly and with dignity.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting, Lidia!
Very nice job girlfriend!!

Love that lipgloss on you. I'm not a lipgloss person but I'm feeling that. I think I will try my nymphette lipglass with this look.

Oooooh! I have liked Nymphette forever but never bought it! I'll have to give it another look next time I'm in purchase mode.
