It was massive for about 10 years here, but it's dying now - due to bad culture and bad drugs. Never saw it much represented in US media though. Why is that? They fuck it up for you guys too? it might seem a bit cheesey to our jaded ears in 2010, but this was really heartfealt. joe smooth was inspired by his trip to england when he saw all these white british kids going apeshit for house music and britons of various backgrounds getting together to party all night long to music being made by a bunch of minorities in chicago. he was blown away and he made this track using martin luther king's speeches as further inspiration. the promised land is house music!
