The engine is amazingly smooth running on the bench, a Harley engine would be leaping around like a bucking bronco. Very impressive, well done.

Yes, the John Britten reference is entirley appropriate. I have seen inside his factory (and the mockups of the cases for the rumoured single that was never produced).

I also looked at the Carberry. Not sure what look they were going for but it seemed closer to Ducati look. You have kept the British look and style of a bygone age that really works. The pipes are so reminiscent of an HRD Vincent.

You and John Britten have a lot in common, rip John. What amaizes me is how often someone like yourself teaches themselves as they go along. It appears you are up in Ohio, looked pretty cold on that test ride. I ride year around down here in Louisville, but not on a naked bike. I didn't notice push-rod tubes, and I assume it's 2 valves per cylinder. Just a fine piece of work, you should be proud as you no doubt are.

The pushrods are adjusted by removing the rocker covers. This turned out to be the only way which didn't require significant machining and modification of the stock cylinder barrels.

due to two conrods on same pin, the pushrod positions for both cylinders will also be offset, say by an inch, how you incorporated the cam mechanism using standard parts.
