Damn it! I hate smart people! LOL! Absolutely stunning job! The only reason I'd hate owning this bike is when you have to explain to thousands of idiots that "No, its not a Harley!" ;-)
You should approach Royal Enfield guys and try to work with them to bring this beauty to mass production. There will be thousands like me coughing up decent amt of doe for this stuff.
This can be the celebration edition (limited edition), 115th year in India foor yrs from now :)
due to two conrods on same pin, the pushrod positions for both cylinders will also be offset, say by an inch, how you incorporated the cam mechanism using standard parts.
Yes, the John Britten reference is entirley appropriate. I have seen inside his factory (and the mockups of the cases for the rumoured single that was never produced).
I also looked at the Carberry. Not sure what look they were going for but it seemed closer to Ducati look. You have kept the British look and style of a bygone age that really works. The pipes are so reminiscent of an HRD Vincent.
You and John Britten have a lot in common, rip John. What amaizes me is how often someone like yourself teaches themselves as they go along. It appears you are up in Ohio, looked pretty cold on that test ride. I ride year around down here in Louisville, but not on a naked bike. I didn't notice push-rod tubes, and I assume it's 2 valves per cylinder. Just a fine piece of work, you should be proud as you no doubt are.
great job, sent your drawings and blue print to royal enfield india and may be get a patent for that, good money for the rest of ur life, anyway really good job and a cooool bike
Are you selling machined cases, cranks and other necessary castings for others to make their own 700 cc Muskets?
If not, WHY Not?
GREAT innovative project, an excellant design that would probably be a very popular production custom, a real retro headturner alternative to other run-of-the-mill modern motorcycles.
The pushrods are adjusted by removing the rocker covers. This turned out to be the only way which didn't require significant machining and modification of the stock cylinder barrels.

You never fail to impress, old boy. The sheer volume of planning, preparation and hard work that has gone into this project is mind blowing! I'm off to have a look at the web site right now. Cheers!
man that is just amazing no words to explain it seriously royal enfield motors should learn from u and they should launch a v twin bullet in india instead of launching new body with different stickers and logos
hats off
keep it up would live to know the performance stats and more videos about the musket

The engine is amazingly smooth running on the bench, a Harley engine would be leaping around like a bucking bronco. Very impressive, well done.
