best decision i made.

i was a windows user, macs are alot faster, and they are alot better looking than a windows computer. all the software and icons are better looking, and you can find what you want really easily.

grnhockey, no. Just no. Macintoshs don't own anything. All I can see here is Windows and Apple fanboys battling it out. Face it, both operating systems got their pros and cons. You can't, I repeat, you CAN'T generalize which OS is the best. One guy uses Windows because he wants to play games and do the everyday stuff, and the other one uses OSX because he needs it for work, cause it delivers some functions windows doesn't, and vice versa. By the way, smartass, a Mac is a PC, too.

thats true, i love macs and pc's on vista and linux pc's. all have their own pros and cons. macs just work simply well...due to the fact that their os only has to work on mac computers. Vista works ok as well, but it works on almost all modern configurations of computers out there. Linux, freaking cool effects using minimal computer power. Love ubuntu w/ beryl.

No seperate mouse click = limited dragging capabilities.

No HD disc drive, no firewire = novice laptop at an expensive price (grab technique)

Limited hinge movement + slot drive that stops cd spinning upon movement = not a practical laptop

i have the new macbook pro (on it now) and u r so wrong! lol!

the mac has no fan... and it never gets hot... if anything the aluminium actually feels really cool when you touch it.

the touchpad is AMAZING! you can just click it anywhere and use your other finger to drag. its so much more effective than the ones with an actual button. i dont know how i coped without it! 4 finger touch is also ESSENTIAL!

i would definately choose the new macbook pro over the old... ANY day!

Glossy screen is shit. Black bezel is shit. The block-solid feel is, however, nice. All ruined by some fucking unfortunate design choices. Should have stuck with minimal instead of going with this two tone bullshit.

Actually it is "duo" because there are both of the cards installed so you can choose whatever you want to use. So if you use video intensive application - switch the 9600 on and that's all!
