@dfdrox Thanks. And I just got the name Toto when I was like, 12, from my friends, and later I became a drummer. No relation at all.. Haha. I just had to look that guy up, to be honest.
@TheToTODrummer Jeff Porcaro is the genius behind the "Porcaro Shuffle". It can be found in all its splendor on the original studio recording of "Rosanna".
The Porcaro Shuffle is replicated by the legendary Simon Phillips in an outstanding live performance of Rosanna.
Search for: Toto - Rosanna (From "Falling in Between Live")...you won't be disappointed.
Watched the video, got MASSIVE Mike Patton vibes, and then read the comments and realised I wasn't the only one. Oh well. They're both crazy talented vocalists, and I've been a fan of both Dog Fashion Disco and Faith No More for years. I'm ashamed I ONLY just found this,
Idk bout halfbreeds but bedlam is a state of extreme confusion of disorder. Whoever said pc and scar on broadway should so something together, ur a fucking genius! 0.0 and did it say "rape becomes the new I love you?" with some weird face covering the word rape?
WOW I didn't know MR. BUNGLE had new album out. With all the bands out there trying to "sound like" Bungle, this is the best sounding thus far. Very impressed.

So I was reading my local paper this morning, and in my shithole town we have a sad excuse of a museum that has the original Elektro robot, anyhow the paper ran a story about it cause they just made a replica of it. After reading this story I decided to youtube it for awhile, and was watching this video, and sure enough at about 1:30 there is Elektro! I feel like its going to be a good day!
@pdpdbpdb he's talking about drinking a 40oz beer as a salute to the memory of a friend or lover i don't know who he is talking about in this song though.
Todd doesn't just smoke weed, he is one fucked up puppy. That being said, he is just as fucked sober. There is nothing wrong with a morbid sense of humor. It keeps you young.
@emeraldthane There is definitely a line between a morbid and cruel, though. To much of the latter around lately. "Chloroform Girl" kind of pushes it for me, but I think it's intended more as horror than humor anyway.
Fuck yeah! Amen to that. I personally do not habitually use drugs for recreational purposes... Though people think I do because of my humor, and how I act normally. Honestly, it's all about having fun and acting young.
Dog Fashion Disco's my favorite band of all time.. and I pretty much think of Polkadot Cadaver as the same thing. So fuck yeah this song fucking rules!
I thoroughly agree with all that you said. DFD is amazing, though there is something about PC that's just so appealing as well. I love avant-garde metal oh so much.
Mike patton and todd smith are similar because they are amazing vocalists. Just because smith can sing in a whole range of styles like patton, doesn't mean hes copying him. That's like an Olympic sprinter equaling the world record time and then saying he is copying the world record holder.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
He is copying... Dog Fashion Disco was basically a rip-off of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle. That doesn't make it terrible music, but they were ripping them off :)
@1oneeyeAnomaly i don't care what anybody says, i LOVE the fact that he is almost a patton clone, yet, it's so refreshing from the mr. bungle sound. It's very odd, it's like patton was so good that god took patton's alternate reality and then merged it with this world so that we can hear the best of both of patton's worlds lol.
@lethaldosage66 however, this band does reminisce a very Mike Patton-esque sound, which is not a bad thing, but I do feel like there are a lot of similarities with this and, say, Tomahawk.
But it's still a cool band, with its own originalities and significance.
Beating a Dead Horse to Death...Again is mostly demos, live tracks and re-released stuff from their earlier albums. It's mostly a compilation. But thanks for pointing it out anyway.
I had to watch it again to remember what the line was lol, but i thought it was pretty clever how they did that, especially since it works into the song so well =P

I agree. I called em wannabes before, but I can't get enough of this freakin band. I guess I need to step back and realize that Bungle, singlehandedly, created an entirely new genre all it's own. It's cool to see this style survive, and not go by the wayside, kind of like Mr. Bungle did. Long live "whatever the fuck you wanna label this music"!!!!

... I've listened to a bunch of songs by Bungle, and I'm a huge fan of DFD and growing to enjoy Polkadot Cadaver, and I have to disagree. They do have similar sounds at SOME points... But most after listening to Bungle, DFD and Polkadot Cadaver sounds... Really nothing like Bungle... Very few of their songs are even remotely alike.
