Heavy machine gun? You do know that's an M1918 Browning automatic rifle right? Without the ammo it's a little less than 16lbs or 7.25Kg. Considering she seems more like 13 than nine, I'd say it's somewhat realistic; difficult surely, but possible given that she's using two hands. The only thing I can't figure out is if it's the 20 round box magazine, or the 40. It looks a bit big for the 20 round and she/he certainly fires it like a 40, but the 40 is rarer and certainly heavier too.

With how they even swapped the voices in the anime, and after looking to the manga... I am left to think they are both male. I mean, they at one point clearly say "You can be the sister now" Or something along those lines.

I do think they are both guys, just the history they were involved in made them highly disturbed to the point they keep one recognized as a 'female'. I mean, it is the only logical thing I can think of.. since the whole boat incident would make sense if it was a boy as well.
