@97kobster are really that ignorant to say "Chevy bitch!!!!!!!"??? when he says specifically that he's going to get the excursion to pull people out. explain to me how that makes any sense whatsoever
Nice! I love driving through flooded streets. I think it's funny how yuppies in their giant four wheel drives chicken out in crossing the smallest of puddles, while people that know how to drive are making it across fine in our lowrider Hondas lol
3. realize that in your hurry to get to the water you drove the chevy
4. go back home and get a real truck (aka FORD) so you can put a video on youtube and waste 13 min and 52 seconds of anyone foolish enough to watch this all the way through
hay good job on helping those people out. if i had my license i would do it with my suburban. anyways, that is a cool weather alert raidio. how much did that cost?
Back in 2004 the Philadelphia area was hit with the remnants of Hurricane Ivan. It caused massive flooding. My grandmother had 3-4 inches of water in her basement resulting in her car being totaled, two garage doors having to be replaced, and a new washer and drier. But the worst went to her sister. Her sister has a small bridge in her driveway that you have to cross to reach her house. That bridge was washed away and had to be rebuilt twice.
Im sorry i may have brought that to you lol, we were in a South Dakota walmart on the 16th... or 15th and they locked us in due to a tornado that missed us by 15 miles.
Water crossing is great fun! But make sure to be careful (which it looks like you were). Luckily you didn't have to worry about a wet ignition system with a diesel. Do know where your breather tubes are for the transmission, axles, and t-case though! Just like in a motor, water and oil/lubricant don't mix well!
I took my Ford 300-6 through some pretty deep, and quick flowing stuff in the Rockies too. The video is under my profile if you have a moment to take a gander.
when i was in ottumwa for three weeks last summer the des moines river was flooded and the crest was like 18 ft. when i got there it didnt go below 14 ft because it rained like 7 inches while i was there. im going there this summer and the west music store isnt covered in sandbags now so its time to buy me a guitar!

NO SEATBELT!? tisk tisk lol i heard you get it on later i have an idea for that 6.9 when that tired 350 gets too tired to run put that 6.9 in the chevy sure its not a gm diesel but its a bullet proof IH design!then when you have floods you have more weight in the front lol!

How do powerstroke's handle water?
Do the diff seals handle water fine?
Need extended diff breathers, or is there some other method of preventing water getting into the diffs etc in america?

IN CASE OF FLOOD
1. run to the nearest truck with camera in hand
2. drive to slightly flooded roads
3. realize that in your hurry to get to the water you drove the chevy
4. go back home and get a real truck (aka FORD) so you can put a video on youtube and waste 13 min and 52 seconds of anyone foolish enough to watch this all the way through

The 7.3 F250 has a 38 gallon tank, so probably somewhere around there.
AgentHog 2 years ago
yeah it needs to be big in order for it to go 300 miles on one tank lol damn gas guzzlers, or diesel rather
