Thank you so much for posting this, I use to play this when I was eight years old! Plz plz post part five!!! I also made the same mistake of not closing the hatch before leaving. Ahh good times!
Really loving this old game. Hope to see more of it from you soon. Makes me want to get some old parts to build up something that can play all the old games I have sitting in the closet... that... or get DOSbox up and running again. Ah, the good old days of gaming. Great stuff, keep it up!
I seem to remember thinking that Black Kroll with it's big gun was bugged. No matter how many times I killed one, another would just pop in right after the last one. I must have killed seven of them.
I don't remember if this was in the Asteroid or on the ship, but I always thought the death by Kroll was pretty scary. It would jump right at ya, knock your blaster from your hand and the ending animation would be the Kroll gloating over your body. The image of it moving back and forth was scary!
@Kalaida Once I finish up the playthrough (hopefully soon, maybe even this weekend! I keep getting sidetracked by things like money), I might go back and do a death montage reel because some of them are so imaginative. I never died by Kroll, but do you recall the Death in Stambul endings from the beginning where your brain ends up in a jar? Priceless.
@Obscuritory Oh, yeah. That old wrinkly Stambul scientist with his cigarette acting all baffled next to my human brain! I don't know what's scarier. The fact that they don't understand human anatomy, or that police officers and cab drivers will kill non-threatening civilians and take their corpses to a scientist for study. Dirt ball planet indeed.
One death I tried in vein to get was in the reactor room with those robots repairing each other. One does threaten you, but nothing comes of it.
Man- I haven't seen this game for at least 10 or more years... but it's amazing how much I remember. The brain is pretty incredible. Sometimes you wonder if you truly forget anything. Thank you for putting this together (w/o commentary! I get tired of lame comments made by some folks during these things). What a piece of nostalgia. Are the last bits going to be posted soon?
@jdyeakel81 Thanks. I've purposely avoided commentary for that reason. :)
I just had a transition back to college a few weeks ago, so I've been behind, but I'm currently playing through the last parts of the game a few times to figure out what to do so I can record. Expect the rest... soonish?
@10:47, let me guess. You took off without closing the door behind you. Yep. I did the exact same thing. Almost destroyed the game in anger since I had to go through all that again.
@Kalaida Not that time! I just chose that as an arbitrary end point because the music stopped, which made it a nice point to start recording again later.
...but then when I went back to play more later, I did that.
I hated this part in the game. I always died inside the ship. Thanks for putting the whole game up, though, I finally get to see what happens!

@nannernanner Glad to! Isn't it weird how this game is only about an hour long but it was still tough to get through the whole thing?
