For the last month we've had massive floods in Queensland and now we are getting flooding in South Australia and Victoria which is in the middle of summer and we usually have 40 degrees C or approx 100 F and no rain for months at this time of year. Is everyone sitting comfortably?..then I'll explain. I should point out I am an air traffic control engineer - the patterns at 0:49 and at other points in this suspect piece of video are easily explained as overlays of test patterns for a primary radar system. This is most easily seen at 0:49 where there are two images for comparison. The left one demonstrates what is called swept gain (attenuation at short range) and the right hand image shows hi-beam/lo-beam pulse train returns. Nuff said!

These are not satelite images, they are radar images and as such are very different things, they map air density rather than light. If you look at satelite images from the same time and place there is nothing to see, I don't know if they are fake or not but there wouldn't have been anything to see from the ground as there was nothing to see from space, hence the lack of eye-witnesses.

@hlove1284 These are satellite images, so only reflect certain "energies"... kind of like radio and television or X-rays aren't visible but if you tuned in with the correct instruments you could see that particular spectrum of light. You are right though, these could have easily been photoshoped and i would recommend doing independent research of these events...

a) Increase in electrical noise.

b) when calibrating radar, they may inject artificial signals into system but forget to turn data supply off to outside world. This can result in ring patterns.

c) Interference from other radars or noise sources can produce spoke patterns. -
