Coping With Food Allergies

cool info. even eating at sandwich shop can be dangrous twice at diffrent sandwich shops had reaction from cross contaimtion had a reaction to sandwich i'm allergic to olives and their oil and you just don't know. the first resturant apoligized the second did not even when response requested did not respond.

When are restaurants like this going to go cross the country? I am allergic to everything slightly and then half of everything is severe...and am finding out I am allergic to more different stuff everyday...but getting ingredients of the products ate is a task in its self to try and figure out what else is needed to be added to the do not eat list...but most manufactures are willing to say what "natural flavoring" consist of not so much restaurants cuz recipe secrets...greedy of them...

i recently discovered that i'm allergic to 16!!!!!!!! different common things... it's hell... i wish i had one of these restaurants in florida... i'd probably spend all my money there tho lol

Im sorry I dont want to sound rude I really really appreciate that people care about us I didnt mean to sound ungratefull I guess Im just sensitive about being isolated

they are doing a good thing i guess it helps some people who do get scared to go out to eat

I am deathly allergic to nuts I have been since I was a baby, but going out to eat is NOT a nightmare I dont get nervous, I carry an epi-pen and I know that Ill be ok as long as I have it other than that I dont worry most of the time I dont tell waiters or anyone else Im choosing to live a normal life and not be afraid There are worse things than nut allergies It hurt my feelings when they say that people like me have special needs I dont like to feel any different from everyone else

@crazycatladynerd I agree I hate being categorized into a "we people" but I get tired of my allergies I have yet to need to use epi-pen (knock on wood) but my tongue has swollen to the point that I couldn't close my mouth and had to go to the ER cause the benadryl wasn't helping as it normally did...then found I was allergic to the dye in benadryl too...so I was treating it but adding to it at the same time...oy! I am allergic to everything slightly and half is severe (of all food) so...ya
