All Along The Watchtower is the first song I listened to when I discovered Hendrix, it still is my favorite Hendrix song, and the solo always gives me the chills.

I read in a book ive got with info on lots of guitarists and it says jimi could play both left and right handed the only reason he didnt was because he preferd the volume and tone knobs on the top

Absolutely right.

I am a bit of an expert about this, it was hard to get left handed strats, in fact they were extremely rare in the UK at that time, so Jimi Hendrix was a left handed player who played a right handed strat - they just couldn't get any other strat at that time.

The video shows Hendrix playing a left handed strat right handed, when in fact he played a right handed strat left handed.
