the PVP is shit, you should try other games pvp and then see how well wows is. In warhammer online a level 5 can put up a decent fight with a level 10. In wow, theres no skill, just gear

The speed feels just right, but the damage balance... I never played the game, can someone in the beta tell me if is that only whrong impression or if attacks indeed do low damage (%) in this game?

Really depends on your class, if you are built for dps you will do a lot of damage. So engi or squig herder should do okay for you.
