The crook is typical for the Rhodopes and it was an indispensable tool for all the shepherds. We call it gega (compare to the Egyptian heka). The end part is usually a stylized snake. The hut - could be aromanian, could be karakachan or it could as well be a hut of any shepherd.

thanks for the info, as a nice object of study compare the Aromanian/Rodopian stilitised snake with animal face (old style was a wolf) with the Thracian/Dacian dracones flag that the Romans also later adopted. Also the Goral/Hutsul mountain crook might have had a similar simbol in the old times.
