Actually, when your up close to it, its the quietest coaster that you will ever see/hear. like in the last helix, you can walk not 10 feet away from it, and you can barely hear it.

I was there the past 2 days and it had a TON of problems. In no way is it ready to be open full-time. They really shouldnt open it until they have the bugs worked out. I did politely complain to guest services about the changing opening times/useless information from staff and the wife and I got free express passes.

Are you talking about Universal Studios Orlando? This theme park is extremely clean. As soon as garbage is dropped or someone gets sick, it is cleaned up. This is impossible that you found this.  The only place you would see drunk people is in City Walk where there are night clubs which goes without saying there will be alcohol.

For whatever reason, you are going to find negative things about it. I happen to have worked for both Disney and Universal, both have very high standards of cleanliness.

ive seen universal verry messy as well. i believe it was the MIB que outside by the door, there was a garbage buildup and overflow b/c noone was emptying the trash. when i told someone that worked at that ride, they turned away and pretended to ignore me

Totally true about the technical problems. I got to ride it twice last week [had a 1 week pass] and both times I waited for at least 2+ hours each time. and they had to put a train into the 'shed' and take out another train which further added to the wait. [I got vid of that].

For the ride itself, it was pretty good. Both times I selected the classic rock/metal songs. and i liked the lapbar restraints.

i went october 27th and we had technical problems! first thing in the morning they couldnt get the safety bar to close on the lap. the 30 miin wait at the front of the ride was worth it though!lol the ride staff was so nice there :)

ok, this is it, i just talked to my friend again today and she said that she just talked to the manager again today and the manager of Universal Orlando Resort, who is also overseeing the rockit said that they plan to open the ride tomorrow on Sunday, August 16th, 2009 as long as things continue to go perfect!!! My friend also told me that the enployies got to actually ride the rockit today. This proves that that ride has to open tomorrow on the 16th!!!!!

it's still only in testing. yes it's open to the public BUT because it's still testing it can close down at any time and there's no telling how long it will be closed each time. i called universal yesteday and that is what i was told.

ok, i have a friend who knows THE manager of Universal Orlando Resort, who is also overseeing the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and my friend just talked to him today and he, the manager, said that everything is going great for that Rockit, and that if things continue to go well then the ride will be opening on Sunday, August 16, 2009!!!!!! I promice you I am NOT making this up, and that means that for now, the official opening date for the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is August 16, 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ride actually looks quite boring and uneventful. Too many brake stops and slow speeds. Perhaps it will be fun at night and with your custom music on board. They should have invested in something other than a chain lift at 90 degrees too!
