  • very very nice

  • Dick-mobile

  • Anyone know the name of the tool he's using to scrape away the thin layers?

  • Hello. What is the name of the red tool that you use at 4:56 ?

  • @filisp It´s a "Profile Master", which is used to take contours.

  • Very Good

  • Very Good

  • WUNDERBAR ... ! You're fantastico'

  • would u please do a microscope!!!??

plzzzzz i took 3 years to find out how but i STILL couldnt.:(

    plzz show me how

  • I can't stop watching this video, its so good

  • very unprofessional...

    IM KIDDING thats great.

  • I love the sound of plasticine being screaped... so soothing.

  • where I could buy the clay? where did you buy the clay?

  • you have modelled a cock and balls....congratulations

  • wow amazing.

  • You, my friend have a ton of precision! I want to study design when i go to collage.

  • i'm from holland, how can i get this InDeClay? can i order it online?

  • penis shaped

  • can you use normal hard modeling clay for this

  • So, he built a penis? haha! Very nice craftsmanship I must say. Impressive.

  • i need help on the SMALL details

  • what is this? It looks awesome

  • i have a lot of admiration for you and your talent, it has inspired me. truly brilliant

  • that's amazing! How do you make them so perfectly!

  • OMG you are using copics o:

    It looks really amazing (:

  • ESTOS SON LOS VIDEOS QUE VALEN LA PENA Y NO LAS PARODIAS ESTUPIDAS QUE NOS ASFIXIAN CUANDO TENEMOS ACCESO A YOUTUBE

  • like it

  • Your work is amazing! I always wanted to get into automotive design, but I got into toy sculpting :P

  • its amazing how you made this.. but what is it?

  • does modeling clay breaks easily ? if so .. how to make it as hard as steel :D?

  • ça a quand même la forme d'un pénis....

  • how durable is this clay? like if i wanted to make a holloween costume piece to actually wear would it break or crack faily easily.

  • Seeing workmanship of this high order makes my day.

  • xDDDD i have a powerful and talentet hands doe, can i work with ya?

  • amazing hands!

  • I hate the thought of this becoming a lost art. Although I suppose even if the industry no longer has much use for it theres still going to be a passionate following in clay modelling

  • ha ha amazing

  • fast and quality, bravisimo man

  • even though you could really just use Zbrush or Maya for 3d, and photoshop for 2d, theres just something about learning how to do it hands on with YOUR skills, and when you combine that with online modeling, it adds a WHOLE other dimension to your work

  • @xTR3VxTR0Nx hell yeah man. I use zbrush & maya, but i always love clay.

  • The auto industry does full sized car models in clay, I'm not kidding you can sit in them. It's cheaper and easier to make true to life replicas in clay, than it is to render them digitally and then make corrections on the assembly line.

  • Thanks god for inventing Rapid prototyping technologies.

  • just use Zbrush

  • @RiVvenGuard Zbrush + 3D printing = no more job for this guy. LuLz. I should go into one of these places with my laptop & be like. Ok you fire all of these guys, I'll do all their jobs for the same six figures you were paying just one of them.

  • How do you get your creation symmetrical?!

  • tool at 4:55

  • absolutely breathtaking...! how long did u need to finish taht all in all?

  • nice work

    portuguese:

eu ja fiz um Troll tipo aquele do Senhor dos Aneis. com massa de modelar normal

so tenho 13 anos e nao so preficional ^^

  • I'd drive it!

  • What grade (product) clay is this? It looks white??? from the look of the swarf and sound while steeling it sound to be a sulphur free lightweight or hard clay more suitable more for machining? Interested to know expecially because of the colour. I've used Kolb "Superclay" which is quite hard but really good to work and machine but its still brown.

  • You´re right, it´s sulfur-free and lightweigt: It is called Kolb InDeClay (more info about it on our website in the product section). This clay is based on Kolb TecClay, but has this special light-grey colour, which makes it fairly easy to spot fine details and therefore this clay is great for small and detailled models.

  • @KolbTechnology This is a very off topic question, but did you have to go to college and take classes for the occupation you currently have? i have just began to like sculpting and all of its wonders, and its something id love to spend my life doing, any info would be greatly appreciated

  • lol i love how easy you make it look..you scratch here, there ..boom..you have a model...haha. no seriously nice work , i never use this clay before. how hard is the clay? it dries?

  • so basically is just the chasi, and the "wheels", the full body is made of clay and not a truly inner structure. Well it must be cuz its a "thin" car not a thick/broad one. Nice modeling.

  • kann man das leckieren?

  • Yes, with a layer of ClayPeel as primer you can use every common colour spray. Take a look in our Kolb Blog, there you will find more info about the use of ClayPeel.

  • On our Homepage you will find a link to our wordpress blog. We just started a new project: we will show how to build a fullscale car model of styling clay. We did the design with the help of a quarterscale model, will scan this and finally mill it in fullscale. Of course we will post these videos also on YouTube - but in our blog you will find additional texts and descriptions. Hope you like it. Looking forward to comments.

  • Visit the Kolb Technology homepage to find the link to our blog.

  • ugly car ...but good tutorial how to model a "car" with clay.

  • very nice but I think that sketching in general should be quick and free flowing of ideas. The process of clay modeling takes way too long to put down several ideas. For example what if you want to change the fuselage and make it more boxy? Make another one? Thats why I believe you should sketch out all of your ideas first before you go and start modeling. Great video though. Im gonna subscribe!

  • You´ve got absolute right, a more simple sketch would be in this phase enough. Meanwhile the Model is 3d scanned and i can make all changes in CAD and mill the next designstep.

  • I wish I had a 3d scanner. I sometimes sketch in clay. I would just throw down lumps of clay and start carving. But not spending this much time on it, not until later anyways. Thanks for the reply

  • There seems to be a problem with the video. It plays only in HQ mode !!!

  • what is the material used ?? is it pur clay ? i always thought they use the redish color for modelling..

im third year industrial product design student and have two weeks only for my jury day.. will i be able to build this quality model in this period of time ??

im thinking to make it out of cork isit a wise thing ?

  • The material is called InDeClay and is produced by Kolb in Germany (visit our website kolb-technology . com to get more infos about the different types of clay we offer). Our other types have a brown colour. InDeClay was developed for Industrial Design and the light-grey colour was chosen as it is great for small and detailled models. It is pure clay. As clay modelling is a fast process and most of all one which offers max. flexibility for the creative process, 3 weeks should be no problem.
